“Anything Goes,” the 1934 Cole Porter musical extravaganza, has it all: high-energy dancing, toe-tapping jazz tunes, gut-busting comedy, and plenty of surprises. Student performers at Donegal High School (DHS) have put in a tremendous amount of work to stage the comedic and dance-heavy show, which will take the stage at the high school, 1025 Koser Road, Mount Joy. The traditional senior citizen dress rehearsal performance will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 7. Individuals age 65 and older are invited to attend free of charge, and light refreshments will be served in the cafeteria during intermission. Regular showtimes will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 8 and 9, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 10. Tickets will be for sale at the box office on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. in the DHS lobby.

Tickets will also be available for purchase one hour prior to performances on March 8, 9, and 10. According to vocal director Hollie Mendenhall, dancing will be a part of nearly every scene. “A few students are going to be tap dancing for the very first time (on stage),” Mendenhall shared. REYS Fundraising Banquet To Change Locations By Donna Hurley

Rainbow’s End Youth Services (REYS) will hold its annual banquet at a new location this year. The fundraising gathering will take place at Landis Hall at WJTL’s Junction Center, 1875 Junction Road, Manheim, on Friday, March 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. REYS’ executive director, Joel Hughes, explained that the growth of the annual event over the last several years indicated a need for a larger setting. “The Junction Center gives that opportunity for a new venue with updated facilities,” he said. Janus Ambassadors Club Learns About Local Area By Diane Bitting

Laura and Jay Laffoon, known for their insightful, personal, and humorous family and marriage ministry, will be the keynote speakers at Rainbow’s End Youth Services’ annual fundraising banquet at WJTL’s Junction Center on Friday, March 29.

The sunny dining room at the Juniper Village assisted living facility in Mount Joy got a bit brighter on a recent Monday afternoon as artwork created by students at The Janus School was hung on the walls. Art teacher Beth Shook directed eight students from the Mount Joy school’s newly formed Janus Ambassadors club in hanging several framed pieces and arranging colorful papier-mache letters - spelling out “READ TODAY” - on two wall shelves. Two of the art pieces were created by club members. See Janus Ambassadors pg 6
