STORMWATER SEMINAR

Horn Farm Center for Agricultural Education, 4945 Horn Road, York, will host “Stormwater Management 101 for Homeowners” on Saturday, March 28, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Attendees will learn to channel their property’s stormwater runoff into a native garden. SSC To Present “The Last Five Years” By Chelsea Peifer

Two talented casts at Susquehanna Stage Company (SSC) are preparing to perform Jason Robert Brown’s musical drama “The Last Five Years” on the Gallery Stage at the Marietta Center for the Arts, 133 W. Market St., Marietta. Performances are scheduled for Fridays through Sundays, March 13 to 15 and 20 to 22, with Friday and Saturday shows beginning at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday shows at 2 p.m. Director Ryan Dean Schoening opted to double-cast the musical, which takes an intimate look at the story of the seemingly doomed marriage of 20-something New Yorkers Cathy, a struggling actress, and Jamie, an aspiring writer. Alyssa Dienner and Adam Dienner will be performing the weekend of March 13 to 15. Larissa Melbert and Sean Meara will star in performances on March 20 to 22. “Both casts are very good at storytelling. Family First Health, 369 Locust St., Columbia, will host a job fair on Thursday, March 12, from 3 to 6 p.m. Attendees may learn about jobs, including dental assistant and dental receptionist positions, at a new dental center set to open on Walnut Street in Columbia this spring. Those interested in positions at the Columbia Medical Center are also encouraged to attend. Job seekers should bring resumes/CVs and any documentation regarding credentials and licenses. (HWI) museum committee members, including Joyce Heiserman (left) and Judith Shoff, are in the process of editing, transcribing, and typing the diaries of former Wrightsville resident and Civil War veteran Jacob P. Levergood. On March 20, the diaries will be incorporated into the Old Town Night celebration for the public hosted by the group at Wrightsville Hope United Methodist Church.

Movies Under The Stars Planned For Summer Columbia’s summer film series, Movies Under the Stars, will be back again for the summer of 2020. Throughout the summer, movies will be shown outdoors on a large screen in Locust Street Park for the community to view at no cost. Free popcorn will be available. People of all ages are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets and sit outside to watch a free, family-friendly movie. This year’s lineup at Locust Street Park will include “Aladdin” on Friday, June 19; “Frozen II” on Friday, July 17; and “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” on Friday, Aug. 21.
