Servant Stage, LBC To Produce “Titanic” Musical By Ann Mead Ash
Wally Calderon, artistic director with Servant Stage Company, admits that there is an element of preconception in staging “Titanic,” the 1997 musical with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and a book by Peter Stone. “There is no surprise ending,” said Calderon of the musical that has been on his shortlist of shows for some time. Calderon loves the show because of its “character-driven depiction” of the historical events and the stories it tells that draw audience members into the story. “(Audience members grow) attached to the historical figures involved,” said Calderon. “That’s the magic of the show … the power of the story.” Calderon is working with Servant Stage executive director Jonathan Bauer to bring the show to the stage in See “Titanic” pg 4

When pastor David Heil preached the first service for the congregation that was to become Faith Evangelical Congregational (E. C.) On Sunday, Sept. 23, at 9 a.m., Faith E. C. Church, 2124 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, will celebrate 50 years of existence since that initial service. Area residents, especially those who have a connection to the church, are welcome to attend.
