HEALTH FAIR

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 121 N. Spring St., Middletown, will host a community health fair on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon. The event will feature health information and resources, on-site registration for free upcoming children’s and family programs, food, games, and prizes. The event, which is sponsored by Middletown Area Communities That Care and Penn State Harrisburg, is free and open to the public. SPAGHETTI DINNER

Prince Edwin-Spring Creek Masonic Temple, 131 W. Emaus St., Middletown, will host an all-you-can-eat Election Day spaghetti dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Dinners will be served from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The cost of a meal will include pasta, salad, bread, a beverage, and dessert. Tickets will be available at the library and at the door. Tickets will be discounted for children under age 12. All proceeds will benefit the Middletown Public Library. For more details, contact smatincheck@gmail.com. Library Friends Will Present Fall Book Sale The Friends of Middletown Public Library will hold their fall book sale in the basement of the library, 20 N. Catherine St., Middletown. Friends members and dealers may

visit the book sale on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be an admission fee for this opening night event. The book sale will be open to the public on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m.

will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. inside Lower Dauphin High School, 201 S. Hanover St., Hummelstown. Proceeds will benefit the Lower Dauphin High School baseball team. More than 150 vendors will be in the main gym, cafeteria, and auditorium areas. Crafts will include ceramics, folk art, paintings, dried flowers, basketry, stenciling, wood items, and seasonal crafts. Attendees may purchase giveaway drawing tickets for a chance to win one of more than 100 door prize items donated by the crafters. Admission is free, and a concession stand will also be available. The Friends of Middletown Public Library will hold their fall book sale on select dates from Nov. 1 to 17.

Patel, Sessa Receive Recognition Middletown Area High School has honored seniors Aayushi Patel and Aiden Sessa as the Students of the Month for October. They were selected by their teachers. Aayushi is the daughter of Piyushkumar and Dimpleben Patel. She has been listed on the distinguished

honor roll and is a member of the National Honor Society, a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, a Youth and Government delegation leader, and an Inspire U.S. Civic Engagement Ambassador. She is a tennis team captain. She won third place in Cell Biology at See Students pg 12

Capital City Polka Dancers Association

Lower Dauphin High School (LDHS), 201 S. Hanover St., Hummelstown, will present “She Kills Monsters” from Thursday, Nov. 1, through Saturday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The fall play is a comedy that contains elements of action and adventure.

The show is directed by Doug Grove. Cast members include seniors Olivia Wagner as Agnes, Sierra Fields as Lily, Sam Sincavage as Kalliope, Ian Tonkin as Osrus, Ashontae Kelly as Farrah the Faerie, Wulfgar Ramsey as Miles, Dennel Stump as Vera, and Katie McDonough as the Narrator.
