OFFICIAL PROGRAMME
NOTTS SPORT NATIONAL SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR BOYS
MONDAY 24th MARCH 2025 • NOTTINGHAM HOCKEY CENTRE
We are delighted to continue a busy spring term of schools events with the finals of our Schools Tiered Championships. Our Schools Championships are sponsored by Notts Sport and we thank them for their support.
We are now in the fourth season of the new schools’ championships framework and these Lower Tier competitions are designed to offer an opportunity for schools, who are not competing at the highest level, a chance to participate in a national final. Schools participating today have qualified from each of the eight Areas that now govern the sport across the country. We thank the local organisers of those competitions for their support.
We congratulate the teams who have reached the finals and hope that they enjoy the experience of playing in a tournament with their peers from around the country.
Our thanks go to all the team officials who have dedicated a lot of time to the development of each team. We know that their commitment is very much appreciated by the players and parents. Thanks also go to the umpires and officials who give their time freely to run the tournaments in a structured and fair manner. All of you are part of the thousands of people in our sport who continue to help hockey move forwards.
You will see our Pro League matches advertised elsewhere in the programme. With tickets from £8 for Under 18s, it would be great to see young players from this tournament looking to learn from the England men’s & women’s squads as they prepare for the European Championships in Germany later this summer and enjoying our excellent international event experience.
Nottingham Hockey Centre has always been at the forefront of developing hockey facilities. Amongst the forthcoming events we are hosting here is the Premier Division finals over the May Bank Holiday weekend. Another opportunity to see top class hockey in the area.
Working with their partners the centre has created a venue with five pitches - an amazing achievement and is coupled with excellent on-event support. This allows us to host days such as today, bringing almost 400 young people together to play our fantastic sport. We hope it is a memorable day for you all.

At Nottingham High School we aim to provide so much more than academic excellence; our students are given opportunities to gain skills that prepare them for life, develop their current interests and explore new ones. Whether students want to get up close and personal with our school minibeasts, brush up on their music ensembles, embark on an outdoor adventure or volunteer in the local community, there are a multitude of clubs and societies to encourage them to follow their passions.
Through tutor support and guidance we champion each individual student, nurturing their talents and encouraging them to pursue their interests and try new things to make a difference.
