Michaela Reysenn founded KAI Interior Design & Consultancy in 2007, and over the past few years she has gone from strength to strength with some fantastic projects behind her. Following the launch of The Betsy Smith, Kilburn in 2010, KAI were shortlisted for Best Independent Bar Design from the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards, and another shortlisting from The Publican Design Awards.
This success led to many of London’s popular venues approaching KAI for their interior services. KAI have worked on projects for Harvey Nichols Terrace with Chase Vodka, Hoxley & Porter in Islington, Salvation in Noodles, Dalston and Opium in Chinatown, amongst many others. This year they are working on some top secret restaurants, hotels and retail projects as well as spreading their wings to Morocco for a boutique hotel in Chefchaouen. Last year KAI were awarded with Best standalone bar or club design for Birmingham based Lost & Found project which led on to even more success with this years Hoxley and Porter also being Shortlisted for Best London Restaurant from the Casual Dining Awards and Restaurant & Bar Design Awards. KAI are a young, enthusiastic and determined team of creatives who continuously strive to produce interesting and innovative interiors, the company is expanding and looks forward to the next exciting project to get their teeth into!
