Technological Marvels By Engineers Under 30

The engineering world is an ever expanding one especially in the technological era that we live in.

Every hour of every day witnesses newer technological marvels emerging from all over the world.

Below is a list of five young engineers who have made their mark on the technical canvas of the world, through their latest engineering technology: Jewel Burks: Burk is the creator of PartPic. Built with computer vision technology, it helps customers to search for any mechanical part, be it an automobile or a drill press, using a smartphone and ordering it immediately. She has raised $1.5 million till date and met President Obama this summer for a White house demo.

Shashank Samala: Samala is better known as the cofounder of Tempo automation that strives to provide the manufacturing of electronics as a service. Its customers can easily upload a design and Tempo’s automated factory produces the design and presents the product in just 3 days.

Albert Zhang: NTU graduate and one of the foremost young engineers Asia, Albert Zhang is the creator of a robot named Emma (Expert Manipulative Massage Automation), who performs physiotherapy to trial patients including from professional athletes for stiff neck, shoulders, back pain and tennis elbows. In actuality, Emma is a robotic arm with a 3D camera and a custom made massage tip Emma is equipped with diagnostic functions which allow detailed diagnostic details to be sent to the cloud for analysis. It also generates performance reports of the patient's progress. Emma allows patients in the accurate measurement of their recovery using precise data.

Michael Wang: Wang is an assistant professor of electrical engineering at Columbia University. He is the chief engineer and cofounder of FutureAir, a startup based in New York that builds connected fans and air conditioners that reduce carbon emissions and wasted cooling.

Sampriti Bhattacharya:

Bhattacharya, who is a grad student at MIT who is known for developing underwater drones which are made to communicate autonomously and working collectively to scan the ocean floor to search for submerged planes, measure the extent of oil spills and radiation under the sea. Hydroswarm, her company, is a marvel among the latest engineering technology, Hydroswarm is the winner of this year’s MassChallenge, and has won a prize money of $50,000.

As is apparent from the list, young engineers Asia, have a major share in the upcoming engineering technology of the world at large.
