OVERVIEW

We are firm believers that accelerating the benefits of connectivity and data insights for our communities should be underpinned by a strong level of transparency and trust. Citizen’s demand this of their governments and other institutions, and we see this being no different for the private sector.

ENE.HUB is seeking to facilitate an important dialogue via this project - one that many have been unwilling to tackle. And it involves the creation of innovative solutions that are shaped by purpose and meaning, the deployment of digital infrastructure that is transparent in what it does, and why, and that it is operated, and the data is used in an ethical way.

WHAT IS DIGITAL TRUST?

The World Economic Forum is leading a global project in defining digital trust and while its yet to be completed, it identifies its objective as “identifying the measurable steps that can be done to improve the trustworthiness of digital technologies through security and responsible technology use.”

PROJECT APPROACH The Digital Trust Project will engage ENE.HUB customers, product suppliers and urban designers to create a series of communication tools such as icons, signs and documents to raise awareness and build capacity among policy makers and practitioners to enhance digital trust with the community.

During this initial phase the ENE.HUB team will work with its customers and suppliers to discuss their existing approaches to digital trust and the benefits and how transparency can be embraced in policy making,

During this phase of the project a range of tools will be created to support stakeholder engagement and field testing. The design and deployment of iconography and related communications materials will be undertaken

After the necessary field testing and stakeholder engagement, ENE.HUB will review the findings and outcomes from Phase 2 and build a Playbook for others to use so they too can embrace digital trust and scale better
