Making the most out of your advert Your advertising package includes full use of our design studio to aid in the production of your promotional materials. Please read on for guidelines of what we can help with and what we need from you to do it. Alternatively, you can send us your print-ready files and we will use those directly.

Your artwork We accept print-ready artwork in high resolution PDF format, and we cannot guarantee the print quality of anything else. We will advise you on the best thing to do if we think the artwork won’t print well.

Design studio If you wish us to design your advert, please send high resolution images and logos. A good quality image will appear clear when viewed on your screen and will usually have a large disc size (over 500kB).

File formats we accept are: JPG, PNG, GIF, PDF, TIF, EPS, SVG, AI, PSD. Please note that most scans and photos do not result in high quality images.

We are happy to see your ideas about your advert layed out in Word, Powerpoint, or similar, and we will use your guidelines when designing your advert.

Please also attach images directly to your email rather than just embedding them in a Word document.

Advert composition We want your ad to reflect your company’s personality, so to that extent, please send us the following along with any style guidelines: • Your logo • Your slogan • The products or services you wish to highlight • Your prefered contact details • Photos of your products or services If you don’t have high quality photos to represent you, describe to us what sort of imagery we should use and we will try to find something suitable in our stock images library.

Advert sizes and content

The quarter page advert is 92mm wide x 138mm tall.

Due to its size, we can only fit a limited amount of information in this type of ad. We recommend that the text of the advert doesn’t exceed 25 words and that the contact details refer to only your head office or most relevant branch.

The half page advert is 188mm wide x 138mm tall and includes a 60 word editorial that will be displayed separately on the same page. Use a striking image in the advert to draw people’s attention and then use the editorial to further describe your company and your relationship with the company you are supporting through this advert.

The full page advert is 210mm wide x 297mm tall and includes a 100 word editorial that will be displayed separately on the same spread.

Please include 3mm bleed on all sides and no crop marks for ready-made full page ads. Allow a margin of 15mm on all sides with no text or important graphic elements.

You can use the editorial to describe in detail your company or the specific product or service that your full page ad covers.

The DPS advert is 420mm wide x 297mm tall. Please include 3mm bleed on all sides and no crop marks for ready-made DPS ads.

Allow a margin of 15mm on all sides and 30mm in the middle with no text or important graphic elements.

You also receive a full page 600 word editorial that will be displayed separately on an adjacent spread. It is an opportunity to explain in more details what your company does and what sets you apart from your competition.
