ive movies, two sing-alongs, a 50th anniversary screening and an untold number of ice-cold beverages. Those are some of the anecdotal numbers behind the August 2018 entries in the Fox Theatre’s annual Coca-Cola Summer Film Festival.

This year’s slate of classic and contemporary movies includes Funny Girl, Grease and Moana. It technically began in late July (with Night of the Living Dead, Iron Man and Saturday morning cartoons), but the bulk of screenings unreel this month.

General admission tickets ($10) are on sale via the Fox website and at 855.285.8499. Day-of-show tickets are $12.

Expect service fees with both.

Movie tours (capacity: 20) must be purchased with a movie ticket and are available before Funny Girl and the Grease sing-along. Tours take visitors through the projection booth, screening room, celebrity dressing rooms and onstage. Tours aren't recommended for age 7 or younger; age 2 and under are prohibited. Be forewarned: The tour is not ADA accessible

Black Panther, which screens Aug. 25, has grossed about $7 million since its February release. It's the highest-grossing U.S. superhero movie ever.

Enough of that. Let’s get to the fun stuff. Here are your feature presentations.

FUNNY GIRL. 7:30 p.m. Aug. 2. A 50th anniversary screening of Barbra Streisand's first feature film. It tells the almost-true story of Ziegfeld comedian Fanny Brice and her star-crossed love affair with a gambler named Nick Arnstein (Omar Sharif). The supporting cast is a who's who of 1960s-era character actors (Kay Medford, Anne Francis, Walter Pidgeon).

The Funny Girl franchise began with the 1964 Broadway musical, which ran more than three years.

Streisand and the show were nominated for Tony awards, both losing to Carol Channing and Hello, Dolly! Streisand made up for it a year later at the Academy Awards, when her on-screen Fanny Brice tied with Katharine Hepburn (A Lion in Winter) for best leading actress. It became the highest-grossing movie of 1968.

• Trivia bonus: The list of actors considered for Nick Arnstein included Marlon Brando, Sean Connery, Robert Culp, James Garner, Cary Grant, David Janssen and Frank Sinatra.

TROLLS. 2 p.m. Aug. 11. It's Trolls versus Bergens in this 2016 animated feature from DreamWorks.

The Trolls — small creatures who live in an almost perpetual state of happiness, singing, dancing and hugging all day — are discovered by the Bergens, who eat them. Poppy, the happiest troll ever born (voice by Anna Kendrick), and the curmudgeonly Branch (voice

by Justin Timberlake) come to the rescue.

Other characters were voiced by Christine Baranski, Russell Brand, James Cordon, John Cleese, Zooey Deschanel, Gwen Stefani and Jeffrey Tambor.

• Trivia bonus: When the king says, “Hug time,” while in Branch’s secret lair, he’s fully clothed. In the next shot, he’s only wearing his underwear.

COURTESY OF THE FOX THEATRE GREASE SING-ALONG. 7:30 p.m. Aug. 23. Ramalama-ding-dong! Return to the 1950s with this 40th-anniversary screening and join the T-Birds, the Pink Ladies, bad boy John Travolta and good girl Olivia Newton-John in a musical homage to simpler times. Were you born to hand jive? Note that the movie is rated PG-13 for sexual content, teen smoking and drinking, and language. No worries. It became the highest-grossing film of 1978.

The original stage version dates to 1971 and is based on the Chicago high-school days of librettists Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. The movie is set in sunny California. The score

This 2016 animated feature from Walt Disney Pictures tells the story of Moana Waialiki, a sea-voyaging enthusiast and the only daughter of a chief in a long line of navigators.

PRODUCED BY SINGALONGA PRODUCTIONS When her island's fishermen can't catch anything and the crops fail, she learns that the demigod Maui caused the blight by stealing the heart of the goddess Te Fiti. To heal the island, she must persuade Maui to return Te Fiti's heart.

The movie is based on stories from Polynesian mythology, with a score by Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights, Hamilton), Opetaia Foa'i and Mark Mancina. Moana is voiced by Auli’l Cravalho, and Maui is voiced by Dwayne Johnson. Retired Pittsburgh Steelers great Troy Polamalu is credited as the voice of Villager No. 1.

• Trivia bonus: Miranda has said the character of Tamatoa the Giant Crab is a tribute to pop-music icon David Bowie.

BLACK PANTHER. 7 p.m.

Aug. 25. Wakanda forever!

The 2018 blockbuster returns to the Fox, where it had a red-carpet screening upon its February release.

The story: When King T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) returns to his MARVEL STUDIOS home nation — the secluded but technologically advanced African land of Wakanda — he’s tested as king and as the Black Panther. The cast includes a who’s who of film actors today: Angela Bassett, Sterling K. Brown, Danai Gurira, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o and Forest Whitaker, among others. The box-office hit won five Saturn awards from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films USA, for best comic-to-film motion picture, for director Ryan Coogler, for supporting actress Gurira, and for production design and makeup. How many times have you seen it?

• Trivia bonus(es): Watch Boseman’s beard. It changes in length from take to take. Also: The name “Wakanda” comes from Kenya’s Wakamba tribe, also known as the Kamba.

YELLOW DAISY FESTIVAL. Sept. 6-9. What started as a small but popular arts and crafts show at Stone Mountain Park has grown into a festival with 400 artists, a flower show, a children’s activity center and food trucks. BIG PIG JIG. Nov. 2-3. This pork party in Vienna, born in 1982 as a contest for barbecue fans, now includes concerts, an arts and crafts fair, and a livestock show. It has become the region’s largest barbecue competition. The American Bus Association twice named it one of the Top 100 events in the country. Travel Agent magazine calls it one of America’s Top 500 festivals. Tom Clynes, author of Wild Planet!, calls the Jig one of the world’s 1,001 Most Extraordinary Events.

The Fox Theatre opened its highly anticipated Marquee Club in mid-May, a $10 million expansion that marks the largest one-time revitalization effort since the theater’s grand opening in 1929. The Marquee Club’s footprint includes the northwest corner of the building, previously leased as retail space.

The Marque Club Presented by Lexus features 10,000-sq. ft. of event space, foodand-beverage service from five stationary bars, and passed and displayed hors d’oeuvres. Members are privy to the club’s multilevel interior and climate-controlled rooftop terrace, which overlooks Midtown’s Peachtree Street. Patrons get public access to the Fox Theatre roof for the first time in nearly 50 years.
