El que fuera Director de la Banda de Música de Villarejo de Salvanés, nuestro paisano Mariano Domingo Puertas sigue preparando su carrera musical en Austria. Durante este verano, Mariano ha participado con gran éxito de crítica como director musical en varios famosos festivales de ópera del mundo. Han sido los celebrados en Salzsburgo (Austria) y Ruhpolding (Alemania).

Kavernen 1595 - An event centre in the heart of Salzburg: In the last two years, the former beer and wine cellars in Gstättengasse 27–29 have been completely renovated and modernised at great expense to accommodate an exceptional event centre. In the heart of Salzburg‘s old city the „Kavernen 1595“ offer three attractive event halls with air condition. The number 1595 refers to the conception date of the vaulted ceiling caverns in the „Mönchsberg“. En el primero de ellos, el de Salzburgo, denominado “Oper in berg” programaba en esta ocasión las óperas “El Barbero de Sevilla”, de Rosini (31 de julio y 21 de agosto) y “La Flauta Mágica”, de Mozart (7 de agosto) Por otro lado, en Ruhpolding se celebraba el Festival “Opern und Konzerttage”, donde el jurado y el público asistente pudo disfrutar nuevamente de “El Barbero de Sevilla” (1 de agosto) y “La Traviata”, de Verdi (29 de agosto) Nuestro paisano asegura que todo fue muy bien y que las críticas recibidas por los diferentes jurados fueron excelentes. Para los festivales del año que viene, se representará la ópera “Tosca”, de Puccini y como ha ocurrido en esta ocasión, en el programa seguirá apareciendo el nombre de Villarejo de Salvanés (España), como ciudad de origen de uno de los directores participantes. Mariano quiere transmitir a nuestros lectores su deseo de representar en el futuro alguna ópera en Villarejo con el objetivo de acercar al público este género musical tan fascinante y a veces tan desconocido por el público.
