Aoi0096 is a pastry brand that I and my friend launched in April 2022. It’s a combination of my skills and his. I’m in charge of brand ing, visuals, and all the promotion work. On the other hand, he is responsible for product development and production. As we are an online shop, promotion and branding work are critically important. I graduated with a fashion design master’s degree, and I didn’t have any related experience working for a start-up brand. Everything I created, from logo design to packaging design to social media content, was original. Aoi was born out of an idea to bring innovative, fresh-baked eclairs and pastries. Aoi is also metaphorically blue in Japanese, which is the colour related to the founder’s name and life. With a shared passion for pastry, we de cided to start the journey together. Although I decided to leave the brand at the end, I still learned a lot from this experience.

Intro.
When I launched this pastry brand, I was always thinking about what I can do and what was the best way to do it. Accord ing to my background, I have studied fashion design and art related course for many years and I have never limited myself in any way. Despite the fact that this is a pastry brand, it can still be in teresting in different ways. Therefore, a fashionable eclair shooting concept was born. I asked a friend to be my model and I worked on everything from styling to photography, to editing. Due to our limited funds, we couldn’t hire anyone, I basically did everything myself. I’ve learned how to use Final Cut Pro for vid eo editing, and I’ve learned how to use a camera professionally for photography. Although I’m not an expert in all these areas, I understand how they works.
