Write a Letter to Dad

Younger children can copy off the board then fill in the gaps (reduce content or print for lower years/ability.) Older students can write their own.

Give Dad a Hand Get students to trace their hand out 4+ times on a piece of paper or if you have coloured paper get them to do one hand in different colours.

In the middle write a job you’re going to help dad with then decorate the hand. This could be drawing pictures or if they have time they could do zentangle design. Job ideas • • • • • • • •

Wash the car Wash the dog Hose the garden Mow the lawn Get you a coffee/tea/water Get you favourite treats Massage your feet Let you watch Sport/favourite show in peace • Not fight with my siblings • Not bug you for at least an hour

Sticky tape, staple, or glue the hands together and on the front write, “Let me give you a hand Dad.”

Father’s Day Card Create a card themed with Dad’s favourite pastime. 1. Fold an A4 page in half then on the front draw a picture of Dad’s favourite pastime and cut out that shape.

2. On the front write Happy Father’s Day and on the inside write a message to your Dad.

Pastime suggestions could be: • Fishing • Football • Cars • Golf • Horse-racing

• Trucks • Motorbikes • Tools • Surfing • Reading

My Dad Rocks

If you can find some rocks, get students to find a large rock then on it write the message “Dad Rocks” in texta, marker or paint and decorate it.
