Our priority is to address the waiting lists that have grown during the pandemic and to use the additional capacity at the CDCs to ensure patients can get the investigations they require in a timely manner and meet growing demand for diagnostic tests in the future.

Kidderminster Hospital was one of the first early adopter sites to roll out a CDC. An additional 3,000 patients were seen in the first 3 months.
The installation of the mobile endoscopy unit accelerated the trust’s diagnostic activity to aid in the swift recovery of services from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
EMS Healthcare’s Trilogy+ mobile endoscopy unit, in conjunction with a separate new CT scanner, meant around 8,000 more patients were able to get the tests they need quicker and more safely over a 6-month period.
The contract was extended for an additional 12 months to further support NHS Worcestershire Acute Hospitals.

Our temporary CDC solution also comprises a fully JAG-compliant endoscopy suite, including patient prep, treatment and recovery areas.
An external scanning unit can also be docked to the temporary CDC, allowing MRI & CT scanning to be carried out onboard.
