DEREK QUINDRY Oxford College Class of 2013 Emory College Class of 2015 Political Science and German Studies Double Major
After spending a post-graduation year in Germany as a Fulbright Teaching Assistant, Derek is now at Emory’s School of Law. He loved what everyone loves about Oxford: its small class sizes, close relationships with professors, and easy accessibility to leadership positions. “My time at Oxford helped me in every aspect of my life,” he says. “I gained valuable social and leadership skills that have helped me build relationships personally and professionally.” Oxford molded and sharpened his critical thinking skills, a particularly vital asset for law school. “Dr. [Bill] Shapiro’s insistence that we read everything twice has come in handy for memorizing case law,” he says.
Favorite campus tradition: “I know this is the standard answer, but I love Dooley.” Extracurriculars: SGA, Student Alumni Association, Sophomore Class Gift Committee, Up ’til Dawn
