Now at Facebook, he serves as a strategic consultant to retail brands in the US that buy media on Facebook or Instagram. “My role requires soft skills just as much as it requires technical knowledge of Facebook and how our algorithm works,” he says, “so Emory’s classes and extracurricular opportunities allowed me to enhance my timemanagement skills, public-speaking skills, and capacity to work well in teams.”

Kaeli’s favorite class at Oxford has been Arabic. She likes its small class size, challenging material, and professor, Florian Pohl. “He creates an atmosphere that has me excited to come to class every day,” she says. “I was one of 15 students enrolled in the class and, because of this, made an extremely strong connection with the other students. We had ‘Arabic cooking nights’ together, and I grew close with a group of people I know I otherwise would not have become friends with.”

Cooking is a theme with Kaeli. “When I have spare time, I enjoy making food for my friends here and posting my recipes on my Instagram page,” she says.
