Arthur D. Krotz Scholarship The Arthur D. Krotz Scholarship provides scholarship support to students at the School of Nursing, with preference given to students in master’s level critical care nursing specialties. The scholarship is based on academic excellence, financial need, and a commitment to patient care. Ann Layfield Scholarship The Ann Layfield Scholarship Endowment was established by the family of Ann Layfield 70BSN 79MSN in her memory. It provides tuition assistance for students at the School of Nursing who show academic promise. Preference is given to Emory Healthcare nurses who want to pursue an advanced degree, with priority given to surgical subspecialties. Elizabeth Mabry Scholarship This scholarship was established in honor of former Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing faculty member Dr. Elizabeth Mabry. Fundraising efforts were spearheaded by the class of 1952. This award is given annually to undergraduate nursing students. Cynthia Mallory Scholarship Endowment The Mallory scholarship was originally created in honor of nursing faculty member Cynthia Mallory. Preference is given to students who show leadership and a desire for continued professional development in the field of nursing. Josephine Malone Scholarship Endowment The Malone scholarship was established in 1967 by the Emory University Hospital Auxiliary in honor of Josephine Malone. Students awarded the scholarship must be entering their final year in nursing school in good academic standing. Anita B. Mitchell Scholarship The Anita B. Mitchell Scholarship Endowment was established in 1956 by Anita Mitchell, class of 1934. The endowment provides scholarship support for students. Nursing Associates Scholarship Endowment The Nursing Associates Scholarship Endowment provides scholarships to students at the School of Nursing. The Associates, established in 1959 by Nell Hodgson Woodruff and others, are a group of friends of the school who support nursing education. Helen O’Shea Scholarship Fund The Helen O’Shea Scholarship Endowment was created in honor of the retirement of faculty member Helen O’Shea, who served as the Director of the BSN program and Chair of Adult and Elder Care at the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing.
