Atlanta is one of the biggest, most diverse metropolitan areas in the nation. It’s home to the world’s busiest airport, a thriving arts scene and entertainment industry, and the densest tree cover of any major city, earning it the nickname “the city in a forest.” There’s a vibrant energy here, and the city and its varied neighborhoods are filled with excitement and a deep culture. Emory just happens to be perfectly situated within reach of it all, located in the historic Druid Hills neighborhood, just northeast of downtown.
At Emory, students have access to Atlanta-based leading healthcare systems and major corporations:
EMORY
HEALTHCARE is the largest healthcare system in the State of Georgia, comprising 10 hospitals with over 250 provider locations across the state.
Atlanta is also home to the ATLANTA VA MEDICAL CENTER , NORTHSIDE HOSPITAL , the top U.S. hospital for childbirth, and CHILDREN’S
HEALTHCARE OF ATLANTA , one of the largest pediatric systems in the U.S.
The CDC , the nation’s leading national health institute and a global leader in disease prevention, is headquartered here — and located right next door to the nursing school.
From Coca-Cola to The Home Depot, over 15 FORTUNE 500 COMPANIES call Atlanta home. On the other end of the spectrum, our city is also host to a growing start-up scene.
