Palm Beach & Whale Beach continue to be synonymous with the relaxed lifestyle that we all know and love. It has served as an escape from the hustle & bustle of everyday life since 1912 when the land was subdivided into residential blocks for affluent Sydneysiders to erect secondary residences from local sandstone. This is a far cry from the suburbs we know and love today where these same cottages sit alongside fantastic feats of modern architecture.

Every home in Palm Beach has a story, and it is our privilege to represent them on the occasion that they come to market.

Some of you are lucky enough to call Palm Beach home; this is where you have decided to spend the majority of your time, however, for many, it serves as the aforementioned escape. As the weather warms, we see the blinds & curtains opened, the lights on, and cars in the driveway. We are excited to welcome back our neighbours to enjoy the lifestyle destinations that are Palm & Whale Beach.

In terms of the property market in 2024, the market has stabilised after the significant price surge of 2021, yet we are still seeing many strong sales. This resilience reflects the

enduring appeal of our area. Over Spring, we saw a substantial number of new listings come to market, in stark contrast to the four years of low stock levels we experienced prior. With this, we have also experienced strong inspection numbers, suggesting that there continue to be many active buyers out there in the market. Whilst the above-average stock levels have led to an abundance of choices for buyers, they are remaining particular as to the product that they are acquiring.

Despite this diverse array of available listings, buyers continue to inquire as to when more property may come to market, suggesting a lack of urgency and anticipation for an influx of properties in the New Year.

Looking ahead to 2025, we expect there may be an increase in listing numbers, which may further influence market dynamics. Overall, Palm Beach remains a sought-after destination, combining lifestyle and investment potential.

In other news, the world’s leading prestige property agency, Knight Frank and New Zealand’s leading estate agency Bayleys, have merged with McGrath Estate Agents. Our branding will remain the same and in essence its business as usual, however, we now have access to a 750 international office network.

Our capacity to attract prestige buyers has been greatly enhanced by the elite Knight Frank ‘Private Office’ service, boosting our international presence significantly. With over 11,000 personal prestige contacts and connections to more than 28% of the world’s billionaires, no other agency in Australia can match this global reach.

Today, our team serves as your one-stop shop for all of your property needs. We offer holiday rental management through our partners at The Curated Collection, long-term rental management through our in-house property management department, tradesperson referrals, and even international property services through our partners at Knight Frank & Bayleys.
