I have worked within this company for ten months whilst studying for a HNC, so I am able to balance work with my studies, within this time I have gathered the skills such as the software profit 4 as well as I developed my skills further with sage. However with the receptionist role I have mainly gained the skill of how to deal with customers furthermore answering the phone and dealing with any queries or complaints in a calm matter. Also I had to deal with customers face to face for collections and other various tasks. I learnt that this skill was to be done with a friendly, helpful face and that I was to deal with the problems in a calm matter.

Whilst working within a private business I had to learn the skills of sage to an extent, however it also gave the skills of being able to use many Microsoft apps. Consequently I can construct a spreadsheet with formulas, use word and PowerPoint effectively as well as access. This was needed when I was doing the invoicing for the business as well as making sure payments were put on correctly.

Activities Previously I have danced at my local dance school, within this I have completed various competitions as well as shows in many different styles. This has allowed me to gain skills such as team work, furthermore to be able to get the highest score you have to work together to make sure everything is executed properly. I have also done a weeks work of work experience in a nursery, this allowed me to gain skills such as patience, which is helpful in any work environment especially when it comes to customer service.
