Personally, Jodi and I are passionate about seeing this mission turning into reality through Kingdom Builders. Whether partnering in prayer, serving on a Kingdom Builders Team, or practicing financial generosity, the mission of God is furthered throughout the world. We do this so that everyone, everywhere may experience Jesus’ great love for them. Kingdom Builders partners with the most incredible missionaries and ministries locally and around the world. We love praying over each partner and project and are overwhelmed by the transformative Kingdom impact as we invest in each one! In this booklet, you will see some numbers and statistics about the impact that your generosity is making. At times, statistics can feel impersonal, but our goal is that we remember that every number represents a person whose life has been touched by your giving. The larger the Emmanuel family grows and the bigger the Kingdom Builders numbers get, the more we focus on making an eternal impact in lives here at home and around the world. We’re excited for those of you who feel led to give in 2024, whether it is your first time giving above the tithe or if it is a commitment to live out a new level of generosity. All of us have a part to play and Jesus has entrusted us with the responsibility of carrying out the hope of His salvation to the world! WHAT IS KINGDOM BUILDERS? Kingdom Builders champions three areas: Global missions, Local church expansion and outreach, and Future Christian leader initiatives. Kingdom Builders is Emmanuel’s strategic approach to funding missions and outreach and equipping future leaders. Part of Emmanuel’s mission statement is to live with purpose. We believe living a life of purpose includes using our resources to fuel the mission of God through prayer, generous giving, and going. Together, we partner with over 100 missionaries, ministries, and organizations who are doing strategic work among those who need it most. These ministries, through your generous support, are reaching the lost, serving the poor, and changing the world!

KINGDOM BUILDERS

THE UNREACHED Emmanuel has a heart to share the Gospel in places where the name of Jesus has never been heard. It’s hard to believe that there are still over 7,000 Unreached People Groups (3.51 billion people) who have never heard the name of Jesus. An Unreached People Group is defined as a group of people that has less than 2% Christians, no active church, and likely no access to a Bible in their language. Globally, less than 1% of missions giving goes to reach these people groups. Thankfully, there are missionaries and organizations that have answered the call. Focus 7,000 is a project committed to reaching the world’s Unreached People Groups. Kingdom Builders deeply desires to reach the unreached and forgotten parts of the world, creating opportunities for people to encounter the radical love of Jesus for the very first time. Kingdom Builders partners with missionaries and organizations like Live Dead and The Great Himalayan Project. These incredible groups are committed to bringing the Kingdom to some of the most unreached and under-resourced areas in the world through tangibly meeting needs, planting churches, and providing authentic community that reflects God’s great love. Coffee shop ministries like Masters Cup create opportunities for the Gospel to be shared in a warm and comfortable setting through conversation and fellowship. Many who had never heard of Jesus have now gone on to minister to their communities, plant churches, and share the Good News!

EXPANDING THE KINGDOM Emmanuel loves to partner with those who have answered “yes” to the call of God to further His Kingdom through entering the mission field and planting churches. Emmanuel’s Senders Fund is a strategic fund established to help resource new and younger leaders as they step into becoming missionaries. After years of praying and planning, The Bernal family from Emmanuel Spring Lake Park has officially launched their ministry in the Middle East, bringing the hope of Jesus to the unreached. It is our joy to champion those who sacrifice so much for the Kingdom of God as they are sent out to be a light to the world. Since 2008, Church Multiplication Network has planted 4,756 churches across the nation. They provide training and resources to accomplish the vision of seeing a healthy, Spirit-empowered church in every community. Through their efforts, leaders are being raised up and planting churches across the country. Emmanuel is also blessed to partner with the National Black Fellowship of the Assemblies of God through the Reach 25 initiative. The goal of Reach 25 is to transform the environments, education, and economics of the 25 toughest, most dangerous, and under-resourced cities in America through church planting, community revitalization, and raising indigenous leaders. We believe that God is moving in our cities!

PRAYER THAT CHANGES THE WORLD As followers of Jesus, we get to share the light of Christ into the darkest places of the world. Globally, there are approximately 525 million Buddhists and nearly 1 billion Hindus, representing over 20% of the world’s population. Most of these people have never heard the Gospel. God deeply cares about these people! As Christians, we are called to pray for those who do not yet know Jesus. The Buddhist Hindu Priority believes that long-term spiritual fruit among these precious peoples requires Christian believers focused on the same personal ministry that Jesus used in His time on the earth. This priority emphasizes establishing the Church among all Buddhist and Hindu peoples everywhere. They promote the on-the-field needs for prayer partners, new global workers, and funds. The Buddhist and Hindu peoples need our prayers! Change The Map is a prayer initiative with the goal of recruiting over 50,000 people who are willing to pray regularly for the Buddhist world. North Korea, Nepal, India, South Korea, and China have the highest concentration of Buddhists and Hindus. Let’s join in praying for the lost in these areas! We cannot underestimate the power of prayer. When we submit our requests to the Lord, he is faithful to respond. And when we partner in prayer together in agreement with others, God can move mountains!

BIBLE TRANSLATION Nearly 1.45 billion people in the world don’t have a Bible in their first language. This number represents about 20% of the global population. Fire Bible is a one book biblical library used as a primary discipleship tool throughout the world. Fire Bible has a mission to translate the Word of God in the top 100 languages of the world. This would resource 75% of the world’s population in their very own heart language. There are 13 million Kazak speakers in the world, primarily located in Kazakhstan, China, Uzbekistan, Russia, and Mongolia. Only 2% of Kazaks are Christian, with 64% identifying as Muslim and 34% being Atheist. Despite this large population, this people group don’t have a Bible in their native language. Fire Bible is committed to creating a Kazak translation of the Bible so that they can read the Word of God in their heart language and learn how much God loves them. As more churches are planted and leaders are developed, they will have the life-changing Word in their own language.

FUTURE CHRISTIAN LEADERS Equipping the next generation of Christian leaders is deeply interwoven into the heart of Kingdom Builders. From a young age, sparks of compassion and generosity are ignited in Emmanuel Kids through Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge as they learn about our incredible missionary partners and are inspired to be generous with what God has given them. Emmanuel Youth champion Speed the Light, an initiative that funds boots-on-the-ground missionaries with the tools needed to reach the lost. Life-changing camp experiences for Emmanuel Youth and Kids are made possible through Next Gen Camp Scholarships, ensuring that everyone has a chance to encounter Jesus at camp by removing financial barriers. Every year, Emmanuel Youth students have the opportunity to join one of Emmanuel’s Kingdom Builders Youth Teams. Scholarships enable students to serve locally and overseas with our partners and experience evangelism, outreach, and ministry in unique cultural settings. These are powerful, life-changing experiences that can make an eternal impact in our students and in those whom they serve.

Emmanuel Leadership College raises up future leaders through fully accredited and affordable degree programs in partnership with Southeastern University. Every student receives hands-on ministry training to help them discover their God-given purpose and equip them to step into their calling.

RENOVATING TO REACH MORE Over the years, our building at Emmanuel Spring Lake Park has been a place where life transformation happens as people have encountered Jesus. Even so, there are so many more people to reach in our community, and we want to prepare our house for the many more that are yet to come. A welcoming atmosphere and a context for connection with others is essential in the journey of people encountering Jesus. It is said that individuals decide if they will ever return to church based on their experience within the first 6-10 minutes. That means that we have the opportunity and the joy to prepare the way by making our house more inviting. We are launching an initiative called 100 Days of Faith, focusing on preparing and renewing the spaces at Emmanuel Spring Lake Park where people are welcomed and the places where connection happens. This includes all lobbies surrounding the Sanctuary as well as the lobby upstairs in the Kids area. A welcoming and inviting atmosphere that is conducive to connection will be a game changer as we prepare our house for all that are yet to come!

HUNGER AND DISASTER RELIEF An estimated 6,200 children die each day from causes related to undernutrition. Feed My Starving Children is passionate about changing this number and ensuring that every child in the world is fed, both in body and spirit. Their nutrient-rich MannaPack meals provide the essentials for growth and development in children. Feed My Starving Children partners with food distributors with long-term ministries in the communities they serve, empowering them to move from relief to development and growth. They are following Jesus’ command by meeting the tangible needs of the vulnerable around the world. Humanitarian aid and ministry from Convoy of Hope help feed the hungry and bring help and hope to communities that need it most. They are often the first to respond after disaster has struck, quickly getting to hard-to-reach places to bring help and the Good News of Jesus. Whether providing clean water and shelter after a natural disaster, feeding a hungry child, or helping a parent put food on the table, they help meet the immediate needs of those in desperate situations, being the hands and feet of Jesus.

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. … Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:35-36, 40

In the US, at least 28 million people are affected by alcohol abuse disorder. Nearly 50,000 people die each year from opioid use alone. 32% of adults in America report experiencing depression and/or anxiety. Our world needs freedom and healing! Thankfully, there are many ministries that have tangible programs to help people experience true freedom. Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge is an incredible ministry that seeks to assist men, women, and teens in gaining freedom from chemical addictions and other life-controlling problems by addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. 80% of their graduates have reported zero to one lapse after the program, compared to the 43% average across the country in other programs. We love that many Teen Challenge graduates call Emmanuel home, and we’re grateful to sow into the lasting fruit that this ministry brings to so many lives! Ministries like Union Gospel Mission believe in meeting tangible needs such as food, shelter, education, and mental health services to help break the cycle of addiction and homelessness. Through Gospel-centered care and compassion, individuals and families can begin to dream again, finding restoration through Christ.

Approximately 2.3 million people are affected by incarceration in the U.S. each year. These inmates are spiritually starved, lacking the pastoral leadership and edifying Christian content that we can freely access. The cycles of generational abuse, addiction, and incarceration have existed for far too long. Our Kingdom Builder Partner, The Pando App, is helping break the cycle. Through tablets, Pando provides inmates access to streamed sermons, worship, devotionals, a digital Bible, and even Emmanuel’s messages while behind bars. The Pando App is in over 450 facilities in 34 states on over 415,000 tablets. Since its beginning, Pando has seen 273,000 inmates give their lives to Jesus. In 2023, 545,590 inmates viewed Emmanuel’s sermons and worship, and 433 received salvation. True transformation is taking place, even in some of the darkest places. The hope of Jesus cannot be stopped!

RESCUING THE EXPLOITED It is estimated that 50 million people are currently being trafficked worldwide, including forced labor, forced marriage, and sexual exploitation. Most of these victims are women and young girls. This number is horrendous and unacceptable. We get to join the fight against modern day slavery as we stand arm and arm with some incredible Kingdom Builders Partners who are literally setting the captives free. Venture believes that all people are created to be free, both physically and spiritually. They serve in areas of the world that are the least reached and least resourced by partnering with local leaders in those communities to end some of the world’s greatest injustices. Through these partnerships, they identify, intercept, and provide care for women and children who are vulnerable to violence and trafficking, provide food to the hungry and impoverished, fund educational programs for children to become future leaders in their community, and provide health, safety, and autonomy to marginalized women, so they can live free from sexual exploitation and abuse. Project Rescue believes in a world free from sexual slavery where courageous women and children can live in freedom as fully empowered daughters and sons of God. From prevention through education and care of vulnerable families, to intervention and rescue efforts, to restoration and meeting the holistic needs of survivors, Project Rescue is making a difference in central and southern Asia, Europe, and Africa. Women and children are being rescued and restored through local long-term partnerships in the community and by the love and power of God. Human trafficking is not just an overseas problem. In fact, The United States ranked in the top three worst countries in the world for human trafficking. Free International is committed to ending human trafficking in the United States. From searching for missing children and adults through Big Search events

and partnering with local law enforcement to providing Christ-centered care and services that restore dignity, Free International is making a difference in the lives of the exploited. In 2023, Emmanuel partnered with Free International to host the firstever Twin Cities Big Search event. We found six missing children and one adult while creating community awareness and new partnerships with local law enforcement. We desire to see more people rescued from exploitation in our city and our country!

Emmanuel Dream Center We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community by being a place that provides for the needs of those who are hurting. We desire to provide opportunities for people to rebuild and transform their lives. The Dream Center will offer tools, education, community, and support through various programs.

A Gym and Community Outreach Center We desire to be a place where families in our community can come together for activities such as fitness, fun, after school programming, and other resources that meet a need in our community.

Our Dream of Being Debt Free We value the responsibility of stewardship with everything that God has entrusted us with. We want to reduce our debt further and faster, continually growing in financial strength. We have a dream of being debt free so that we can invest more money in ministry, missions, and the next generation for God’s Kingdom.
