Cliffs of Moher

Legend tells of an old hag named Mal who chased an Irish hero named Cú Chulainn all over Ireland. Cú Chulainn managed to escape by jumping across the sea stacks of Moher, but Mal fell from the cliffs as the sea turned red. Today, you can visit the Cliffs of Moher and see an unusual rock formation called the Hag’s Head.

3. Strongbow led the Norman invasion of Ireland and built the first Kilkenny Castle, which was made of wood. His daughter Isabel and her husband William Marshall later rebuilt it as a stone structure.
