THE HOT RUB THE HOT RUB, THIS IS A VERY SIMPLE RUB, BUT IT'S VERY HOT. TRY USING MEDIUM OR MILD CHILI POWDER TO COVER IT DOWN A LITTLE. THIS BARBECUE RUB IS A REALLY GREAT WAY TO ADD DIFFERENT FLAVOR AND SOME HEAT TO PORK THE RIBS. DRY RUBS ARE A MIX OF ALL THE SPICES AND DRIED HERBS AND THEY ARE RUBBED INTO THE MEAT BEFORE COOKING. THEY COME IN A WIDE RANGE OF FLAVORS. THERE ARE SO MANY BARBECUE RUBS, CHILI POWDER (YES CHILI POWDER IS DIFFERENT SPICE BLEND), JERK SEASONING, SATE, CURRIES, OLD BAY, AND MANY MORE. THE RUB IS SIMPLY A COMBINATION OF SEASONINGS THAT ARE, LITERALLY, RUBBED INTO MEAT OR VEGETABLES BEFORE GRILLING.
