This is the third semester assignment focusing on housing and retrofitting. When developing the concept I was working a lot with re-thinking how we think of the elderly housing situation in the swedish system. This is a home for the elderly that provides a new type of inside outside space that due to long snowy winter that is restricting for many elderly people. The inside park will protect from weather, snow and encourage movement and accessibility. The homes for the elderly is placed in the park and connected to a ramp promenade throughout the building and outside to the river and shopping center. The homes are all in connection to each other and if the want the can unfold some rooms to the park to be social with the public and there neighbour.
