SPACES ADRIFT, shipwrecks01 They can be entire quarters, uninhabited zones or public areas between blocks of housings, outlying elements, all of them have in common what we define as spaces, not already monochrome, but achromatic. From this point of view, they are the perfect base for any intervention with tonalities and colors. An intervention by means of the light, which result is a stroke of color inside this achromatic environment. Also we look for objects or obsolete spaces; in this sense, obsoleteness not as synonymous of degradation, but of something that does not fit with his environment. If we make an intervention in this type of spaces, we claim that the spectator stops one moment and looks otherwise at the object; we make it more visible, looking for the aesthetic value of the banal, current or obsolete things, which are always there. We hope that it should happen him what to us, when once illuminated he remains registered in our memory and whenever we return to see it / to walk around it / to go through it, it turns to us the illuminated snapshot. The spaces adrift were the reason that led us to creating the activity urban light guerrilla, with whose second intervention we take part in the present edition of the festival eme3. 228
urban light guerrilla philosophy: the search of the poetry in an urban environment. strategy: transforming temporarily the spaces/objects. tactics: exploring the urban territory with freedom of movement and energy self-sufficiency. ideology : once transformed, although ephimeraly, the illuminated environment stays in the memory of the spectator. We named the first intervention vol. 01 and it took place in the quarters (sidliskov) Sekčov and Švabska in Prešov. In it took part students and photographers from Košice and Prešov. The lights were sponsored by Bellatrix, s.r.o. from Košice.
