Community Happiness Day

Residents from all across the neighbourhood gathered at the lawn area for the Community Happiness Day celebrations.

Youngsters had the time of their lives indulging in fun activities, game stalls and bouncy castles.

Living together in harmony with animals We all love animals. We go to great lengths to make them feel at home here. However, it’s important that they have in our community.

Avoid feeding strays This attracts more strays, leading to noise.

Your neighbours like their peace!

Don’t abandon pets Find them a new home when you move out of the community.

Have your pet on a leash Others may get anxious when they see a pet roaming free! It’s important to respect everyone’s feelings in your neighbourhood.

Add a name tag to your pet’s collar A name tag with the phone number can reunite lost pets with their owners.

Chinese New Year at Emirates Living

Chinese New Year celebrations swept the community on 2 February, as Emirates Living was draped in red décor.

Umbrella, fan, ribbon and freestyle dance performances had residents of all ages enthralled.

Junior residents made the most of theopportunity to craft their own lanterns and paper dragons.

The traditional Chinese Dragon Dancers paraded through the venue with their gliding beast, a true feast for the eyes!

WHEN: Deadline is 10 May. Terms and Conditions: Contest is open to entrants who are above 18 years of age.

Contest is open for online submissions only. Entries must be candid shots taken inside your community.

All photographs must be digital, in JPEG format and must contain EXIF metadata info.

Photographs must be original, high resolution and below 15 MB. Advanced editing, manipulations or watermarks are unacceptable.

Upon making the submission, you grant ECM the license to use the photograph in any form for editorial or educative use.

Rahim Sajan from Polo Homes wins the Community Garden Challenge!

The Community Garden Challenge was a neighbourhood sensation, with over 150 green-thumbed residents from our villa communities flooding us with picturesque entries.

Taking the top honour of the Grand AED 20,000 Prize was Rahim Sajan from Polo Homes in Arabian Ranches for his magnificent garden which scored points for the landscaping, design, creativity, edible patch and most importantly – his devotion and passion to involve the family in creating and building the green space.

From native palm trees, creepers to a vegetable patch, this winning garden spanned the entrance, alleys, backyard, swimming pool and the walls of the home.

The winner on his victorious garden ‘We have built an oasis that we hope to develop into a mature and sustainable garden space to enjoy for years to come. Soil is moved to provide nutrition supply to the remaining planting areas, designed to maximise colour and beauty and to preserve water and use natural forms of plant rotation’, said Rahim.

Tazeen Zaidi (Rosa, Arabian Ranches II) won Best Landscaped Garden.

07 3 ways your community is being sustainable Eco-friendly cleaning

2,700 tons recycled

To ensure that the community’s lakes and natural landscaping are always protected, the swimming pools, barbecue stations and other facilities are cleaned with non-corrosive chemicals.

Your enthusiastic efforts in segregating waste for the recycling bins we placed outside your villas have compelled us to add another weekly collection schedule, saving over 2,700 tons from the landfill.

37,000 litres conserved every month

All the taps in your changing rooms and amenities are fitted with aerators, saving over 1,200 litres of water a day.

‘Light therapy’ at Meadows Drive We’ve lit up the trees along Meadows Drive with over 25,000 metres of white-gold lighting! More than 160 palms were draped in LEDs to make those night drives a little more special.

P.S. - We’ve also replaced over 1400 square metres of tiling across the entrance’s boundary wall and water feature.
