on Easter Sunday, transcribed by the Vatican.
Pope Francis passed away Monday at 7:35 am at 88 years old. Also known as Jorge Mario Bergoglio, Pope Francis’ death was surprising but not unexpected. According to the Vatican, he had been sick with bronchitis since February 14th and then later with pneumonia on the 18th. He went to his residence at the Vatican to recover and unfortunately lost his battle at 7:35 am this morning. Archbishop Diego Ravelli revealed that “the late Pope Francis had requested that the funeral rites be simplified and focused on expressing the faith of the Church in the Risen Body of Christ,” as reported on Vatican news.
“I appeal to all those in positions of political responsibility in our world not to yield to the logic of fear, which only leads to isolation from others, but rather use the resources available to help the needy to fight hunger and to encourage initiatives that promote development. These are the “weapons” of peace: weapons that build the future, instead of sowing seeds of death!”
May the principle of humanity never fail to be the hallmark of our daily actions. In the face of the cruelty of conflicts that involve defenceless civilians and attacks on schools, hospitals, and humanitarian workers, we cannot allow ourselves to forget that we are stuck. Still, persons possess soul and human dignity,” Pope Francis. This was part of his final message to the people
Pope Francis reigned as the head of the Catholic church for 12 years. His successor is set to be elected within the next few days. The Vatican has ranked these six men who would most likely be elected as our next pope. Cardinal Pietro Parolin has been second in command of Pope Francis since 2013 and shares views similar to those of Pope Francis. Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle is known for his progressive views and for helping people experiencing poverty in the Philippines. Cardinal Jean-Marc Aveline is known for his humor and work with immigrants and muslim relations. Cardinal Willem Jacobus Eijk uses his prominent voice within the catholic church and conservative views. Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith has been a vocal advocate for justice and accountability. Cardinal Robert Sarah is also known for his conservative views and promotion of traditional church teachings. Several qualified candidates are given this opportunity, but no matter who is selected, they will have a big hat to fill following Pope Francis’ legacy. His work with interfaith dialogue, his relatability to social injustices and environmental protections, and many causes he held close to him. Pope Francis was very progressive compared to the views of the catholic Church. As the Church considers its new Pope, they mustn’t regress from the work Pope Francis has contributed to his people. May his legacy live on.

The Child Development Center hosted its annual “Through the Eyes of the Child” exhibition from April 22-25. The exhibition showcased the children of the CDC’s art and photography. Through their hard work, viewers can view things the way children do. The colorful and imaginative exhibition draws individuals into the corner of the library. From photographs taken by children to clay art, the widespread use of artistic forms is spectacular.
As attendees enter the exhibition, they are greeted by a slideshow of images taken by children. Seeing different objects from a child’s perspective shows viewers what catches children’s attention. The idea of using photography in the exhibition shows the variation of art forms offered to children in the CDC.
The toddlers of the CDC showcased their art by playing with clay on a painting canvas.
The toddlers could freely immerse themselves within this piece of art, not having to follow specific rules or guidelines. On the clay art wall, the teachers describe how this art form benefits children at this age. The teachers who helped coordinate this exhibition share, “Clay is a quite compelling form of learning for toddlers. It captivates the child’s interest and curiosity while covering many developmental domains, such as fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, self-expression, problem-solving, and literacy and numeracy concepts.”
Though art can be a fun hobby for children of this age, it is also a way for children to develop lifelong skills. Students also used the clay to create farm animals, sculpting them into shapes of farm animals. The intricate painting also shows attendees the attention to detail the children take upon themselves to show through their art. Not only is the painting eye-catching, so is the clay formation of the animals.
The students took a trip under the sea, inspired by books they read in class. Using what they learned from the books and through their imagination, students drew and created animals with paper mache. Impressively, the students formed animals such as puffer fish, octopus and jellyfish. Students also drew fish, formed sea dollars in mold and created tentacles of jellyfish by placing paper in place of the tentacles.
CDC is making learning fun for developing children, ensuring their ways of teaching are fun for their students. Highlighting their hard work in class outside of the classroom can instill a sense of accomplishment in these young students. Encouraging children within art and allowing them to be free to explore different art forms can lead to potential benefits in the future. The colorful and abstract art displayed shows how children view the world around them.
Many pet parents and animal lovers may not be aware of the annual tradition practiced at the historic Olvera Street. A practice that blesses our furry friends with holy water. On April 19, Olvera Street hosted its yearly tradition of this religious practice between Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church, “La Placita,” and Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles. The event was open to all, regardless of their religious affiliation or species.
Blessing animals has been a recurring theme at Olvera Street, with origins dating back to the fourth century. The patron saint of domesticated animals, including pets and livestock, Saint Anthony the Abbot, began blessing animals for their good health in the fourth century. Olvera Street started practicing this ceremony when the pueblo (town) was founded in 1930 to bless the town’s livestock. The priests of La Placita Church initiated this practice to maintain the health and productivity of the farm livestock, thereby meeting the town’s needs.
Over the years, the town
began to evolve, and so it started to slaughter animals; now this practice has spread to all types of animals. Attendee Joshua was surprised to see, “A lizard, I saw a lizard, and then a cow; those two were interesting.” Amongst a lizard, a cow, and birds, common pets such as dogs and cats were all part of the receiving line at the event.
Due to the high anticipation for four-legged animals, the line was scheduled to start forming at 1 p.m., even though the blessing was not expected to begin until 2 p.m. The line wrapped around the block for over two hours with bowls of water set out for animals. At the end of the line was Archbishop José Gomez, showering the animals with holy water as they passed by the stage, accompanied by a Mariachi group playing in the background. “Thank you for bringing your pets here today, if you enjoyed your day today and would like to make a donation and would like to make a donation we have a Venmo and a piñata here,” the announcer explained as attendees received their blessing.
After the blessings, guests
were invited to partake in food and entertainment in the plaza. Folklorico dance groups were present, along with booths offering information about various animals. The prominent animal welfare organization, Best Friends, had multiple setups around the event to inform guests about adoption, fostering, and other animal services.
This event is an annual tradition that takes place the day before Easter at Olvera Street. For more information on future events, visit olveraevents. com for more upcoming events.

Rio Hondo College Library hosted its first Zine Outreach Project Exhibit this month. The display, held in the library foyer the first 2 weeks of April, was curated by Librarian Claudia Rivas. The RHC and Whittier area community made and contributed the DIY selfpublished zines. The project produced works that will be part of RHC library history and are available to be appreciated by anyone wanting to view them or check them out as they would any book in the library.
What is a zine? Pronounced “zeen,” it is short for “magazine” or “fanzine.” It is a small circulation, self-published booklet or magazine, often characterized by its DIY format. Zines typically feature original or appropriate text or messages. The creative form dates back to the 1930s and is generally for enjoyment and not to make a profit. Though usually pamphlet-like photocopied booklets, zines can now be created in various forms and colors, and extended to online publications.
The library usually makes the foyer available for other organizations to showcase works. However, this time the library had its very first exhibit held and run by them, making this project much more special to the department.
Zine Librarian Claudia Rivas played a large part in making the project possible. Rivas applied for a grant, allowing specialized funds for the exhibit. “This is the 1st time we’ve ever done anything like this, library created. Something run by the library and not another organization. Used to just renting the space out, but not us being the creators,” said Rivas.
Earlier in the semester, a flyer went out inviting the RHC community to participate in creating zines. Participants were told they would be required to attend a workshop where they learned how to make zines. The grant funds allowed the materials to be free for all who contributed to this exhibit.
“This was to enhance our Zine collection. To make it Rio Hondo focused. We’ve never done
An incentive of $25 was offered to all zine creators. The only requirement was to attend the workshop and donate their zine. “There were no limitations. Whoever wanted to be part of the process could be. [The] only requirement was to attend a workshop where all materials were free and available for them to take home, and we asked everyone to donate a version of their zine,” said Rivas. Creators were allowed to choose to have their names attached to their work or choose to remain anonymous.
The exhibit was made available in the library’s foyer during operating hours. One hundred fifty-six zines were displayed on tables. Everyone who participated was included in the exhibit displays. Those zines were available for visitors to pick up and handle with care for viewing pleasure. There were also display cases with creations from zine workshops from past years.
What happens with the zines now? “The ones that are on display on the tables are added to our library book collection. Zines will go through cataloging and processing over the Summer to by Fall be available to borrow like our books. They get barcoded and entered into the system. Anyone who wants to check them out can borrow individual zines for up to 3 weeks,” said Rivas.
The Library intends to continue the tradition and hold more exhibits curated by them in the future. To continue to do something to feature student work. “That’s the wish. The challenge is student participation. Without student participation we cannot make another display. I do hope we can do this again. I’m hoping that even without any incentive other than their work being displayed, the students participate to have their work shared with the RHC community,” said Rivas. The RHC library hopes that the community recognizes that zines are a great form of self-expression and a way to contribute to history.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia was deported to El Salvador on March 15th under suspicion that “Kilmar Abrego Garcia is a MS-13 gang member, illegal alien from El Salvador, and suspected human trafficker. The facts reveal he was pulled over with eight individuals in a car on an admitted three-day journey from Texas to Maryland with no luggage,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. The department of homeland security had reports on the traffic stop she was referencing and there is no mention of Garcia being a gang member or “trafficker” only that he was let off with a warning as there was a language barrier.
The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled 9-0 that Garcia be returned to the United States and that the Trump administration must facilitate his return, as it was their error to send him—in an interview with Donald Trump the President of El Salvador laughed off the request of bringing Garcia back as he will not ‘smuggle someone’ into the United States.
His family has not had any
contact or updates with him until recently. Senator Chris Van Hollen swore he would not rest until Kilmar Abrego Garcia was released from CECOT Prison and returned home. This prison know for housing terrorists, mind you the definition of a terrorist is someone who uses violence or the threat of violence to achieve political, religious, or ideological goals, often targeting civilians or other noncombatants, ironically these have been the actions of President Donald Trump as witnessed though the ‘witchhunt’ for illegal immigrants.
April 17th, nearly a month later, Senator Van Hollen met with Garcia in El Salvador. Now labeled as a terrorist from CECOT, Van Hollen wanted to make sure he was well and be able to give his family a long-awaited update. Garcia’s wife, Jennifer Vasquez, said, “I will continue praying and fighting for Kilmar’s return home.” Garcia was not allowed to be processed correctly and was sent away due to an administrative error. Who is to say this negligence will not continue? Garcia is an example of what happens to innocent people when we skip due process. Everyone, whether a
U.S. citizen or not, has the right to fair trials, but with this new regime of ICE Agents, a lot of mishandled and uninformed ‘immigrants’ are being taken advantage of, like Garcia. The Trump administration has not shown any support or accountability to help facilitate Garcia’s return home although instructed by the Supreme court and even went as far to say that “Senator Chris Van Hollen of Maryland looked like a fool yesterday standing in El Salvador begging for attention from the Fake News Media, or anyone” Donlad Trump. The president of the United States is clear on this being a ‘fake’ issue and a media opportunity for the democrats. Still, it’s civil rights being stripped from the people residing in America.

At the L-Tower at Rio Hondo on April 17, was a shop talk held about the Latinos Empowered, Guided, and Cultivated In Education Male Success (LEGACIE+) program.
This shop talk was about the issues that men can experience such as emotions and stereotypes around them. It was an important topic to talk about because not many people realize the struggles men can go through as they do not see them that way.
The host of this talk shop was Ashton McLaurin who expressed what he hopes to bring about these issues that men are facing.
“While I give out this presentation about how we can develop healthy characteristics or have healthy characteristics as men to help lead into healthy relationships with others.”
It is important to talk about men’s issues as McLaurin did because many people skip over them because they may feel uncomfortable discussing them with others. It’s something that occurs a lot in the world with men who can experience struggles with their emotions.
Throughout the talk there were barbers who gave free haircuts for students who signed up for one. This was a nice thing to do because it showed how a small gesture can go a long way to help a male’s confidence.
Most of the talk, McLaurin talked about why men do not need to be afraid of showing emotion as everyone goes through them. It was eye opening because it showed how much men can hold in their emotions and it can be a bad thing if it continues due to it leading to mental issues. It is important to know that men hiding their emotions has been a huge stereotype for them as it is known that men have to hide their emotions to show themselves as strong. That is where people are wrong because hiding emotions is not
the right thing to do and should be talked about with someone else as it can lead to a healthy relationship with others. Having this talk about men’s struggles was a good thing to do as it can help men open up with what they are feeling because at the end of the day all of us have emotions and we should not be afraid to express ourselves. Some may say it is weak to show emotions but that is not right as showing emotions is healthy because it shows that we care about something or someone around us.

For a long time, attending college has been viewed by many as the path to success. However, with the recent rise of tuition and student debt and many alternative career paths for students, there is a growing sense that the college experience is worth pursuing. It is worth pursuing for too many students as it does not just offer a degree. It’s a place where students can start gaining the independence they need. Going to college can also build new connections with students around campus. This is a plus as most campuses are filled with diversity and openminded people in different areas. A helpful tip for students going to college is that they will be able to network in their chosen field by looking into what colleges offer at their campus. That may include job fairs, internships, and workshops throughout the school year.
Experiencing college life gives many the chance to see how adulthood is and learn how to budget their finances and time. It also gives students the time to develop the skills they can unlock. College can provide students with a deep dive into

As summer comes, places like Whittier Narrows Recreation Area provide various ways to blast. Whittier Narrows Recreation Area is split up into three different areas. The Recreation Area is not too far from Rio Hondo College Campus, only five minutes away and ten minutes from Los Angeles. One of the main areas is built around the lakes, North, Legg, and Center. This area of Whittier Narrows is roughly a mile long and has multiple paths for people to run on, bike on, or simply just walk around and enjoy the view. The area is also open for the public to ride on horseback.
The lake is home to unique wildlife such as the Canadian Goose, Mallard Duck, Great Blue Heron, Swans, and many different species of birds. Of course, there are many other species of fish to catch. Whittier Narrows has multiple piers
where people can fish.
Aside from being able to fish and observe the wildlife, the park allows people to rent kayaks and paddle boats for $15-$30 an hour to go out onto the lake and get a better view of the ducks and geese. However, the park does not allow people to swim in the lakes.
Located at various parts of the lake, children can spend their time at the playgrounds or play disc golf, and adults can exercise at the fitness zones, not too far away from the playgrounds. The fitness areas, or outdoor gyms, provide equipment like the aerial stroller, leg and chest press, and hip twisters. All of these are fantastic pieces of equipment for exercise. Of course, you can always exercise by simply walking around the lakes.
The park in Whittier Narrows Recreation Area offers other activities, such as gathering places, such as picnic tables and pits, for cookouts and barbecues. “I walk mostly, and I have my music on, “ a park goer attending a cookout said.
Across the lake are more than five fields for baseball and soccer, along with a golf course close by. Another area is the free Whittier Narrows Natural Area and Nature Center. The Nature Center is home to wildlife like snakes, turtles, and lizards. All of these can be observed. The Nature Center also provides fun activities for kids, like dinosaur painting.
As it is a giant area, all parts of Whittier Narrows Recreation Area can be a wonderful place to pass the time, especially during sunset.

To decide if it is worth it, you must consider what you want to do and whether it is worth the time. Anything you want to pursue in college has to end with a degree, which means that attending college is a must, as that will lead you into a career of your choosing.

The upcoming concert by Linkin Park in Los Angeles is rumored to be moving from Dodger Stadium to the more intimate Intuit Dome in Inglewood. This information comes from various reports.
This adjustment was implemented to reposition the performance. This change was implemented immediately after the band decided to relocate the event. The band decided to relocate because there were insufficient ticket sales at the original venue, which could accommodate 56,000 guests.
A modification will be implemented to improve the individualized musical experience and solve concerns related to ticket demand. The purpose of this update is to provide additional information, and it will be implemented. The recently constructed Intuit Dome, which can accommodate around 18,000 spectators, undoubtedly anticipates this migration.
Those who bought tickets for the Dodger Stadium event will get a refund and priority access to the rescheduled concert at the Intuit Dome. Intending to make their North American tour more accessible to a broader audience, Linkin Park has released more affordable ticket options, each priced at $39.50. By taking this measure, the band is demonstrating its commitment to making its tour dates more accessible to the general public.
Some adjustments have been made to the lineup for the concert in Los Angeles
to accommodate the recent modifications. The experimental rapper JPEGMAFIA will be performing as the opening act for the event, although Queens of the Stone Age has decided to withdraw from it. Linkin Park is trying to adapt to the current market conditions and ensure their fans have a positive experience on their tour.
The facility’s changes and the ticket pricing structure show this initiative. “It’s really disappointing; I was really hoping to see them perform at Dodger Stadium.
The lighting and sound would have been crazy good, and their stage presence would have been great,” said David Reyes. “It’s kind of an inconvenience to have to drive all the way over to Inglewood when I live just down the street from their original venue choice.
Dodger Stadium would have been perfect for me. I did not have to pay for parking because I live 10 minutes away, walking distance,” said Paul Martinez.

The Long Beach Police Department discovered a possible human skull at Junipero Beach on Friday, April 18, at around 9:27 a.m. The Long Beach Police Department Homicide was dispatched to the 2100 Block of East Ocean Boulevard. The person who found the discovery and made the 911 call remains unknown. The possible human skull was found near lifeguard tower three at Junipero Beach.
Personnel from the Medical Examiner’s office recovered what appeared to be human bones and returned on April 19 to collect additional remains. The remains have been sent to the LA County Department of Medical Examiner for forensic analysis to determine identity, cause, and time of death. As of today, no identification or cause of death has been disclosed.
Junipero Beach is a popular beach that many residents of Long Beach visit. It is just below Bixby Park and near the Long Beach Museum of Art. Junipero Beach is considered a safe and family-friendly location. When human remains were discovered, a small section of the beach was taped off during the investigation. The remains of Junipero Beach remain open to the public.
In August 2024, police responded to a similar report near Orizaba Avenue of a skull-like object in the sand. That report turned out to be a fake human skull. Many residents of Long Beach were disturbed about the discovery at Junipero Beach. Many people commented on
the KTLA 5 Facebook social media post about the remains. One comment made by Russell Clampit reads, “Sea lions in the sea, killers on land,” explaining he believes the cause of death was due to a possible sea lion attack.
Anyone with information about the recent discovery of the human remains is urged to contact the Long Beach Police Department’s Homicide Detail. As of today, this case is still in the early stages of investigation, and authorities are working together to find any leads that can lead them to a time and cause of death. Police have not said if the remains are suspicious or if foul play is suspected. At a later date, the medical examiner will eventually have the exact cause of death. This investigation is still ongoing and has not been ruled a homicide due to the lack of information the medical examiners have obtained.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. To shed light on this topic, the Violence Intervention Program and Student Success Center hosted a workshop about relationships, sexual assault awareness, consent, and more. On April 17, students came together to learn how to form healthy relationships with partners and themselves.
Glenn Heap, the event organizer and a therapist, provided a safe and comfortable space for attendees to express their feelings about relationships. He had some new attendees but also some regulars with whom he had visibly formed relationships. Almost all guests shared personal stories, allowing others who had not attended a meeting to feel comfortable enough to share their experiences.
Throughout the confidential discussions, Glenn gave insight into what consent is and is not. Something that stood out during the conversation is that consent can be a conversation, not just a simple “yes or no” answer. Glenn reminds attendees that changing their minds regarding consent is always OK. The insightful words of wisdom and encouragement during the meeting left attendees feeling hopeful that there is a light at the end of hardships and a reminder that no one is ever alone.
Relationships can be challenging to navigate; however, there are clear signs
if a relationship is unhealthy. Glenn discusses the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships in great detail. Though it can be tough to leave relationships, attendees were reminded that it is never too late to do what is right for you.
Seeking help can be extremely difficult, especially when it may be in front of others. Luckily, the workshops Glenn provides include those seeking help and resources. Finding a safe place can be more helpful and comfortable when others have been through similar situations. Discussing uncomfortable topics in comfortable environments can
help those who are silent. Shedding light on this crucial topic allows those suffering to feel seen. Although some individuals may not feel comfortable enough to open up in a group setting, there are several ways to seek help on campus. Rio Hondo offers therapy, workshops, and more support in judgment-free zones. The Student Services building has therapy offices, and if you are interested in attending meetings, check your emails for flyers. If you would like to stand in solidarity with victims of sexual assault, participate in jeans day on April 30 to show clothing does not mean yes.

As if Whittier and its neighboring cities are not already dealing with heavy traffic, Los Angeles County Public Works has just announced major construction coming to Colima Road. Local communities such as Hacienda and Rowland Heights, City of Industry, and Whittier may be impacted by new construction to alleviate traffic congestion. This May, drivers may encounter roadwork along the extensive stretch of Colima Road, starting at Halliburton Road. Construction will be conducted on workdays during peak traffic hours from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This construction addresses the heavy traffic drivers encounter while driving through the hills. LA County proposes widening the road by adding a third lane to alleviate
car congestion. Adding a third lane will enhance mobility and facilitate faster transportation for all types of motor vehicles, from cars to transit buses. The county plans to add these additional lanes by narrowing the median and parkway. The project also plans to beautify its landscape and narrow these sections.
A new and controversial addition coming with this project is the expansion of bike lanes. Previously, Colima Rd did not have a large enough lane for its cyclists, creating a hazard for cyclists and drivers alike. The county plans to address this safety issue by expanding bike lanes. Resident Mel Anne feels strongly about the upcoming addition, “We do not need bike lanes!” This new feature sparked conflicting opinions, both in support of and in opposition to the necessity of expanding bike lanes. Citizen Ramon Ramierez
agrees that these lanes will provide safety for cyclists and drivers and alleviate congestion.
“I’d rather them have their lane, then them hogging a full lane.”
Pavement restoration and traffic signal upgrades are expected, along with street widening. While this may be necessary for easing traffic flow, the project does not address all the concerns of local residents. Recurring concerns include advocating for cell phone towers on the hill and new worries about increased congestion due to the addition of the third lane into Whitter.
John Doe, a local commuter, pointed out the discrepancy, ” When it’s completed, and you’re headed into Whittier, which will still be two lanes, the gridlock of three lanes merging into two lanes is not predicted. Going to be a nightmare getting over the hill into Whittier.”
This project is expected to take three years, with a projected end date of May 2028, which may be subject to change. Drivers can be assured
that
will remain open during construction. Construction is scheduled to begin this May.

Sean Osborn, director of the Disabled Students Program and Services, held a panel discussion titled “Panel Discussion: Voices of Autism” on Wednesday, April 23. The purpose of said panel was part of the monthlong celebration of Autism Acceptance month here at Rio Hondo College.
The first hour of the panel discussion was a slideshow that was informational for anyone who wanted to understand a little more about autism and how instead of it being an inability, it’s a new way of viewing the world. It covered topics such as strategies for instructors who have students with autism, what stigmas are and how to avoid them, and how to use the correct language when speaking with someone who has autism. If attendees were still confused about how to approach autism, resources like the DSPS office and College Autism Network were listed at the end of the slideshow.
For the last hour of the panel discussion, attendees of the event from varying ages and professions who were diagnosed with autism and other similar disabilities went to the front of the room to answer questions from both
DSPS director Osborn and the audience.
When asked about an idea that the students had for professors, one of the speakers wished that professors had a “menu” on hand, where students can check off what services they need professors to follow in order to fit their needs.
“Be a little open minded about when to expect something.” a speaker stated when asked how to handle a child who has autism. Osborn also believes that it is never “too late” to get assessed for any disability as even if it doesn’t come until later, at least the diagnosis was made and special services can start as soon as possible.
With this panel discussion and all the past events held in April, Osborn hopes for the stigma painted onto students with autism to go away as people with disabilities can be just as successful as other people, “I think that for a lot of people with autism, they don’t always get the chance to sort of, highlight their life.”
DSPS director Isborn stated. “Remember, disability does not mean inability, it means different ability.”
Rio Hondo will continue to hold events for disabilities in July for Disability Pride Month.

Popular travel destinations may require extensive planning, a high cost, and an exhausting commute from point A to point B. With Summer coming up, this backpack project can be a great resource for outdoor enthusiasts or anyone wanting to try something new. Being equipped with one of the backpacks could make exploring the many state parks much more accessible. The Whittier Public Library is showing that libraries have much more to offer than books and is actively promoting that books are great to take with you when you take the time to explore the outdoors.

An Open mic event hosted this past Wednesday, the 17th of April, at the Rio Hondo cafe had students show off their talents and skills, making them connect and have energy through music.
The music and technology class instructor, Amy Gordon, was one of this event’s hosts and planners. She has been teaching for a couple of years now. This is her second year teaching.
The students who also hosted this event were students from the music and technician class who were brought through this event.
The students got to arrange
original songs and perform them in a performance at this event. She was so excited for her students to perform and share their original songs. One of the students who was bypassing the technical and directed stuff was hosted last week, got to work on hands-on, and just got the job for hosting a week ago as well.
To see how the students Are talented and performed so uniquely is very honoring to see that students are also trying to chase dreams chase their goals by attending their class but also seeing how talents can be within your neighborhood and also, for example, going to
school and seeing how people that are your age, for example, are also wanting to chase their goals. She’s your dream. It is unique to see that people like us or students like us have dreams and goals. It’s just vital and inspiring to see because through a couple of the original songs that it was very an eyeopening moment for me to see that talents are just around and appreciating and seeing to tell all the time and even if it’s an original song that is a sad or original song that can be happy it is very nice to see that students can always express themselves whether its in public or not.
has the best hoodies.” and that’s why Seeing how hoodies, shirts, hats, even socks can bring a type of brand that the Gen Z Community wants to bring on
and wants to be presented by their fashion statements and is an essential detail for them.
These original songs were either an acoustic version of their songs or a group type of song through indie rock, Sci-fi pop, Hip hop, or regular acoustic pop. It was a very eye-catching moment to see how all these types of genres were brought up to me because music is a unique way that’s impressive and expressive, significantly impacting students and faculty.
Still, it also relieves a little moment seeing these performances. After all, it is an honor to see an excellent live performance, and seeing that students are very hard-working in what they want to do is an excellent moment for them.
