The shell is polyolefin, making it more forgiving and perfectly suited to improving skiers. It uses a Stabilizer frame and choice of flex settings so it’s very capable of some powerful skiing. Features such as the HeatFit liner, double canting and Supermacro buckles ensure personalisation is effective and straightforward. Obviously the convenience factor will be high but so too is the comfort. Expanding inserts either side of the forefoot allow the boot to push out and accommodate the widest part of the foot without excess pressure. Performance isn’t ignored either and the 40mm strap, 80 flex and ASY Sport liner ensure this is a boot that skis well and fits well. Where it differs is its shape and the ambitions of the skier. This is a boot for more aggressive skiers, sporty intermediates looking to progress quickly and who will value the closer fit and more precise feel. In addition, the AFS cuff and boot board allow for extra customisation and fine-tuning of the fit and performance. Conventional ski boots lock the natural foot movements in the sensitive forefoot region. Hawx boots free your forefoot by combining soft elastic thermo plastic (i-Flex) with the rigid shell material, allowing the boot to flex in your foot’s natural sweet spot while still retaining lateral and torsional stability.
Rotated / Offset Shell Hawx, M boots and the new Live Fit range are offset to the lateral (outside) side by 1mm, making the boot feel more precise and edge changes even simpler. They also feature a 3° external shell rotation to reduce strain on the lower joints with a more comfortable stance.
Adaptive Fit System The large, rear spoiler can be easily adjusted to fit various sizes of calf muscle, ensuring maximum comfort. The boot board can also be adapted via a dial set in the heel, meaning the ‘ramp angles’ can be altered for tuning of ‘fore/aft’ balance.
ASY Fit Liner ASY Fit liners are designed to perfectly complement your foot working within the shell. Each ASY liner has asymmetrical properties: a Medial Control Face on the ‘inside edge’ of the liner offers more grip and feel for maximum energy transfer, and a perforated Lateral Recovery Face on the ‘outside edge’ to cushion and absorb, easing pressure on the sensitive outside of the foot.
Live Fit Convenience and comfort, without sacrificing fit. Asymmetrical elastic zones in the shell surround the forefoot, instantly adapting to the width of the foot inside. A hard plastic skeleton frame guarantees good energy transmission and support. 2 oversized buckles, a massive powerstrap and ASY liners with advanced heel retention, ensure the foothold of a 4buckle boot.
