The 13th annual Beer and Wine Festival takes place this weekend, Nov. 11 and 12 at Holiday Valley, and is sure to be a rip-roarin’ good time! “People love beer! Especially millennials, who are becoming more and more interested in craft beers and their many flavors,” said Jane Eshbaugh, Holiday Valley’s marketing director. Kick off the weekend with Friday night’s Beer and Wine Dinner, starting at 6 p.m. “The Bootleggers Ball,” with a Roaring 20s-Prohibition theme, features several dishes prepared with and paired with unique and special brews. Tickets are $69 for drinks, beer sampling and dinner. For information, call (716) 699-3968. Purchase tickets at ww.holidayvalley.com. On Saturday, Nov. 12, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., head to the Holiday Valley Beer and Wine Festival in HV’s Main Lodge. Live it up with great beers and wines. The festival features 30 craft brewers with over 100 beers and wines from New York State and the region. Eshbaugh noted that this year’s event will feature, “A few more food vendors – What’s Poppin’ Kettle Corn on the deck, Dom’s Butcher Block with smoked meats and Bavarian Nuts, in addition to our cafeteria offerings (sausage, pretzels, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.).” Each ticket includes a $5 food voucher to the food court. Planning Board to Address Notification Process

The regularly scheduled meeting of the Village Planning Board (PB) was held on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at the Village/ Town Hall. Two concerned village homeowners addressed the PB about their notification system to adjoining property owners where a project is occurring. For Public Hearings, the PB

must give the homeowners a 10-day notification. Because a majority of the village is secondary homeowners, they feel this is not enough time to find out about the project, do research, travel to Ellicottville and give their opinion. The PB was grateful for the comments and concerns, and are considering ways to create better processes and advised

they have been working in conjunction with the Village Board to find solutions. The Architectural Review and Landscape Plan for the project on the Mill Street Project was approved. They have added a new window to the home and these plans were presented to the PB at this month’s work session. The

The Rotary Club of Ellicottville donated 24 banquet and 14 high-top tables and storage carts to be used in the Rotary Auditorium at the Town Center, enhancing the use of this great space. “The existing rectangular

tables are aging and not very functional for formal gatherings like weddings and parties, so these are a welcome addition,” said manager Justin Dineen. The Rotary Club of Ellicottville continues to work with the Rotary

District 7090’s grant program, which matches funds up to $2,000 to help with this and other projects in the community. The Rotary Club of Ellicottville and the Town of Ellicottville agreed to a
