Ameri-Can Celebrates One-Year, Made In America Partnership By Caitlin Croft
One of Ellicottville’s newest shops recently celebrated their one-year anniversary. On Sept. 1, 2015, Liz Boberg, former manager of The Red Door Ski Shop, decided to try her hand at a retail shop of her own. Coming in with several years of retail management experience, coupled with over 27 years in the retail business, Boberg tells us, “I really felt I had a grasp on the pros and cons of retail in Ellicottville.” The season turned out to be a big test for the new shop. “Fall 2015 was amazing; people were excited for the upcoming winter, but when the season turned out to be much slower than expected, it was tough.
