famous chocolatier and the business is going well, everybody likes the chocolate of the Sukerbuyc. The pralines are made according to the secret family recipe. On the other side of the street, you have a tea house where you can taste the delicious pralines with a cup of tea or coffee. There is also a chocolate museum (the choco-story)in Bruges. It is a museum where you can learn a lot about the origin of chocolate and where it comes from. All the chocolates are made by hand. It is also very amusing for children to discover the museum.
The concertbuilding The concertbuilding was built in 2002. The architects of the concert hall are Robbrecht en Daem. It is a music- and artcentrum. Sometimes you can go there to watch a piece of theaters and you can also go to listen to concerts. The hall is excellent to give concerts because it has very good acoustics and the sound of the music is very beautiful in that hall. Three famous architects built it. And the model was selected from an international architect contest. There are 2 big halls in the building. First you have the concert hall with more than 1000 seats. The music hall is the second hall and there are almost 350 seats.
Beguinage In Bruges there is only one Beguinage left, it’s called Beguinage Ten Wijngaerde. It is a very beautiful place to walk and relax. In 1245 it was seen as an independent parish. It includes a gothic Beguinage church and 30 white houses. Those houses are built around a central garden. But today, there are no beguines anymore. Now, it is a monastery for the Benedictine sister who still live there.
Events There are a lot of events in Bruges. Bruges is more than just monuments. You can visit a lot in this city. There are also beautiful canals in Bruges ‘Reien’ in which youcan make boat trips, than you can see the beautiful places of Bruges from a different way. But you can also make a trip with a horse-drawn carriage. There are a lot of shows in the concert building and you can watch a match in the football stadium.
