Founded in 2012, our team specializes in hospitality, commercial and residential projects. We also custom design furniture and lighting, and offer production design services for photoshoots, television and film.
With a background in television design, KLD is theatrical in our approach to creativity, imaginative, collaborative and we thrive in problem solving

Kim Lewis Designs is an interior design and branding firm, based in Austin, Texas
Kim Lewis leads her team in managing an expansive portfolio of residential and commercial projects, which includes restaurants, boutique hotels, multi-family condominiums, luxury high rises, retail, healthcare, private residences and shortterm rentals.
Born and raised in East Texas, Kim studied at Texas A&M University, then kickstarted her career with a move to Austin to work for the world-renowned furniture manufacturer, Four Hands
A chance meeting with a television producer at a trade show eventually led to a relocation to Los Angeles and a 7 year career as the lead designer of ABC’s popular design show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”. During the show, she saw how design can change lives In 2012, she started her firm in Los Angeles. Partnership with several nonprofits led her to design therapeutic art centers in West Africa, Cambodia, Thailand and Honduras
In 2014, Kim returned to Austin to put down roots for her eponymous interior design firm.
KLD is based in the Holly neighborhood of East Austin. Current projects are based in California, Colorado, Texas, North Carolina and New York
