Shoreline, Seattle’s closest neighbor to the North, takes pride in its recreation activities and boasts over 330 acres of parks and open space. Its outdoor opportunities feature saltwater beaches with beautiful views of the Olympic Mountains, dense forests as well as hiking trails. Over the years, the Shoreline community has developed a reputation for strong neighborhoods, excellent schools, and abundant
parks. Shoreline is Seattle’s neighbor to the North with no physical or geographical border in between. This makes Shoreline an ideal community for commuters and families that need to be closer to the city with a suburban feel. There are plenty of activities in Shoreline, including a visit to the Kruckeberg Botanical Gardens, where residents call it “The Hidden Gem.” Take a walk through Boeing Creek Park where visitors can hike, go swimming, and follow the long walking trail for a scenic view.

The Shoreline School District, serving the communities of Shoreline and Lake Forest Park, has long been known for its quality schools and community involvement. Literally reaching from shore to shore – with Puget Sound to the west and Lake Washington to the east – the district just north of Seattle serves about 9,100 students with a highly dedicated staff and a mission to help each student reach his or her full potential. The school district has strong parent involvement at all levels, including one of the strongest PTA Councils in the state.
