SUMMARY hold leading positions in major enterprises. In order to form well-rounded individuals, motivate students and make the progress of deciding what to do after finishing their secondary education easier, our school collaborates with educational institutions not only on a national, but also international level. Garliava Juozas Lukša High School was among the first of all Lithuanian schools to take part in international projects and student exchange programmes. In 1995 the school began to work together with the Laksevåg School of Bergen (Norway). With the financial aid from the EU programmes our school has established close links with many schools from other countries. Some of the international projects, in which our teachers and students have participated include “Wanders and Cycle Lanes” (Poland, Romania, France), eTwinning project “Internet – Life Without Borders” (Italy, Poland), “European Education with Information and Communication Technologies” (France, Greece, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Bulgaria,

Hungary), “Comenius School Assistanship” (Poland) and others. Since 2011 students have participated in student exchange programmes with their peers from the Netherlands (Weert Het College) and Germany (St. Ursula Realschule in Attendorn). This school year we have joined the Erasmus NEStOR project, which will continue until 2019. In addition, the students from our school often travel to international conferences organized by the EU; they are members of the Lithuanian Students’ Parliament, the Lithuanian Students’ Union and other governmental and non-governmental organizations. They also participate in Model Parliamentary Sessions in Strasbourg, Brussels and other foreign cities. © Text translated from the Lithuanian by Lukas Karpavičius, student of Grade IVD (May, 2017)
