Project Description This project mainly focuses on the integration of farmer’s market and a public space as a way of rethinking and re imagining current food market places in addis ababa and the problems associated with it.

Concept HYBRID ARCHITECTURE The concept of having hybrid architecture is not to design more but rather to rethink the current process of infrastructure design to make it more efficient and sustainable and to mix multiple function in one in order to solve problems associated with current food market places .

The idea is to create playful landscape on the first floor/ roof while the ground efficiently functions as a market place. The roof is accessed through this wide stair that also serve as a sitting space and through the blue ramp that continues as a biking track on the roof.

Blue and orange color is used throughout the design to create a sense of familiarity since most traditional market use blue and orange coverings as a shed.

Project Description A semi-intensive sheep and goat farm that is run by several employees who work in shifts.

The facilities include an office building for those who involve in the managing process, finance and etc., A staff dormitory for those who work in shifts and live there, dinning and kitchen for all the staff members, recreational areas, parking and the shelters/shed for the sheep and goats according to their requirements.

Site Location Ethiopia, Adama Softwares used Revit architecture- 3d modeliing Lumion- rendering Adobe photoshop- post production Concept A modern sustainable farm house The idea is to design a farm house that can accommodate the animals, the people and the environment in a friendly manner. By using many methods such as; • By creating as space that is comfortable thermally, visually and functional for people who work there and also for visitors. “Comfortable working space and living space productivity” • Using Vegetative Buffers Around Farm Buildings Odors typically travel along the ground. When odors encounter a row of trees, the odor plume is disrupted and mixes with the prevailing wind, reducing odors. Ammonia gas is absorbed by plants, also reducing odors.

• By using a sustainable material for construction of both roof and wall - GFRG/ Rapid wall is manufactured using Gypsum as a core material, which is generated as by product in the process of manufacturing fertilizers. It reduces time of construction and overall cost of the building.

• By recycling manure to fertilizers this help in reducing waste and also using the recycled product in the facility (for plants) and also for sale.

• Use of Vegetative Buffers Around Farm Buildings And also serving as a recreational space for staff members.

RAPID WALL (Glass fiber reinforced gypsum panel) is used both for roof and walls reducing the need for cement.
