Aiello Giuseppe My experiece was very positive because we had fun and I knew new people of different nationaly. With my partner Sebastian we went to the sea and we played football and we had bath together. I introduced to him all my Italian friends. I showed him the sports facilities in my town and all the cultural monuments. He enjoyed our way of living. I hope to the same in the next future in order to appreciate a different style of life and enrich my personal culture.

Tropiano Vincenzo

My experience with the Polish student was interesting. We practiced many sports such as soccer, volley and traditional games. We showed them monuments and beauty places. We improved our English and learnt a little Polish and Italian respectively. Yet the most important thing is that we became friends. Memories of Comenius. My name is Aurora and I’m from Italy. I joined the Comenius project to improve English. This experience is very fantastic and my new friends are cute. In particular the girls that I hosted is really nice and I am happy because she is fine with me. Her name’s Eliza. I attended a preparatory Polish course with Mrs Jolanta Kolanowska and learnt the basis, yet I want go to Poland and learn Polish well as well as get acquainted with their real traditions and culture.

This intercultural exchange is a wonderful experience. It serves not only to learn English, but also to understand foreign culture. A Polish girl, Joanna came to my house She is a very pretty girl. It was a pleasure to share these days with her. It was great even for my family. It would be great to spend more days with all of them and to have fun together. And for this I’m looking forward to going to Poland and to share a unique experience again.

ZUMBA- Sara Rattà I joined Comenius “Mens sana in Corpore Sano” last year. Yet one year ago I couldn’t imagine my strong involvement in such an interesting project. We alternated theoretical studies and physical activities but Zumba is my favourite one. In Poland we had the possibility of practicing it and we danced like crazy and had a lot of fun. We joined several choreographies with different steps and different songs. It is a mix of dance and sport in which you sweat a lot a lose a bit of calories. We danced following two different guides who were very competent and even if it was our first time we all (both teachers and mates) succeeded in dancing properly enough. Goetz Palace - Santoro When I was in Brzesko for my Comenius trip, I was astonished by many trips I joined. Yet I preferred the visit to the Goetz Palace. It was founded by owner of the Okocim Brewery and has been a marvelous residence surrounded by a wonderful park. Then it hosted the local school and now has been renewed in order to become a spa endowed with all comforts and a magnificent Jacuzzi where hosts can be lulled by a beer-bath.

OKOCIM BREWERY-GREGORIO MACRINA During my trip in Poland my best memory regards the guided tour to Okocim The brewmaster introduced us to the secrets of our delicious Browar Okocim beer such as: • in a vat of crushed malt wort is mixed with water and boiled at different temperatures . The starch grain is transformed into sugar. • In the vat of liquid clarification must is separated from the solids (pomace ) . • In the copper pot once cooked the wort hops is added. The amount of hops determines the degree of bitterness • At the end the wort is cooled and, by the addition of the yeast the fermentation process starts. The sugar is transformed into alcohol, carbon dioxide and heat. • After 7 days of fermentatio , the wort is brought into the cellar; the beer can be left in the cellar to ferment and age quietly in the tanks . After three to four weeks, the wort becomes beer alcoholic . • Then it is poured into barrels and bottles. I realized that what we drink is a natural, pure and healthy product because the beer is tapped from the barrel and poured into the glass without the addition of carbon dioxide.

This is my first Comenius experience and I think I will repeat it because I enjoyed it a lot. I had the possibility of meeting new friends, of consolidating my Italian friendships and of approaching a new culture. As a matter of fact we compared our traditions, our culture through the production of slides and we had also the possibilities of practising sports activities all together. I believe I will keep this experience in my heart forever. Gregorio

Handball- Quirino Federico This year I had the opportunity to visit Poland thanks to a Comenius project: Mens Sana in Corpore Sano”. According to the aims of the project we practiced a lot of sports. For the first time in my life I played Handball. Italian team learnt easily and quickly how to manage with it because it is a mix of basket and our “calcetto”. We had not to keep the little ball for a long time and pass a circle line before the opponent’s door. In short we appreciate it so much we are going to play it in Italy surely!

COMENIUS Italy/Poland

The Comenius project is a cultural exchange project with twelve guys from Poland. The student I hosted is Magdalena, she is a very polite and respectful girl. By this project I and my family appreciated a new culture and were able to compare our food and sports traditions. We found analogies and differences but the most important thing is that we put the basis for a strong friendship.

Mobility in Soverato in Italy ANNA MYSZKA

Before this travel I was afraid of staying alone in foreign country. When I arrived in Italy my uncertainty was gone. I realized that Italy is a beautiful country and Italians are wonderful people. The project offered a lot of opportunities. I learned a few phrases of Italian language. I understood the need to be open to other people. I met a new culture and wonderful people . Thanks to the project I learned how to work in a group. Thanks to the project I'm more compromising. This exchange allowed me to understand many important issues. I am so glad I could come here and see so many things. Now I have some more experience in my pocket. This exchange was the best for me.

I.P.S.I.A. – the best ever !

Mobility in Brzesko in Poland - ANNA SMULSKA In October 2014 in Poland we hosted our Italian friends. My partner's name is Federico. He is very nice and funny. He is medium-height, with dark curly hair and very Italian style. He knows a lot of useful Polish words and expressions. Everyday we met another guys and spent great time together. We played volleyball, basketball and handball. Italian teenagers are very sporty. In Poland we showed them very interesting historical places like: Auschwitz, Kraków, Castel in Dębno and Goetz Palace. The best moment was when we were in Zakopane. The Italians really enjoyed the mountain atmosphere and they had a great time. They saw the ski jump “WielkaKrokiew”. We also visited Brewery Okocim, one of the biggest company in Brzesko. That was a very educational visit. We saw the modern production line. The exchange was a great experience. I learnt a lot of new words in English and Italian. I also learnt about healthy lifestyle and some diet and I met new people. I spent a wonderful time, and I will never forget it.

FRIENDSHIP- Aurora Corapi Polish guys are very nice. They went to Italy in May and we became friends but with our trip to Poland our relationship reinforced. I hope that it will never end and that in the future we can see each other again because Comenius project was a marvelous experience. In these days, they showed us how to live and study in Poland and we appreciated analogies such as time study management and differences like curriculums. We understood that all around world guys have the same exigencies and the same dreams. They did everything to make us feel at home and they succeeded in.

Memories- De Luca During my Comenius trip in Poland the activity I will remember forever will surely be the soccer match. We played against the Polish team soccer on Monday 20th and our teacher, Mr Andrea Natali was our goalkeeper. He is the best goalkeeper I have ever seen! We all were really excited for this match because we have an ancient tradition as footballers. We played inside the gym of the school and it was exciting because we haven’t such a great gym in the school… really we haven’t any!

Mobility in Soverato in Italy ELIZA KOMĘZA

Our trip to Italy was a wonderful experience. People here are really friendly and open. I met a lot of new people. I improved Italian. We were spending a lot of time together on the beach, in parks and we saw a lot of beautiful things like Tropea, Montepaone ne Lido. I got to know Italian culture. In spite of differences between Polish people and Italians we understood each other very well and had a lot of fun together. We learned about healthier way of life. Thanks to that project I could see Calabria, improve my English and I met really nice people.

MAŁGORZATA WARCHAŁ As one of the teachers involved in the Comenius Project ” MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANO” I can say that my personal impressions are highly positive. During this twoyear project I had the opportunity to take part in many activities, thanks to which I gained a lot of useful professional experience. One of the most important aspects for me was the chance to acquire new competences by cooperating with other colleagues from the partner school, sharing ideas and experiences. Moreover, I could get to know another school system , thus new and different approaches of teaching. As for me,working on the project was a truly mind-expanding and cross- cultural experience. The two mobilities, the time spent with Polish /Italian students as well as with my Polish/Italian colleagues, exploring another country , learning about its culture and sampling its delicious cuisine- all of this has left me with unforgettable memories and motivation not only for professional development, but also for fitness and healthy lifestyle.

My Italian host family is great. I lived with Maria Vittoria and she is very funny and nice. I can't wait when Italian students come to Poland. I will never forget the time in Italy. This was an interesting experience. The projects like this are very important for young people, because they develop their own interestings. After this exchange I want to learn Italian. The cooperation with Italian people was good and interesting.

Mobility in Soverato in Italy SEBASTIAN GIBES Trip to Italy was an excellent experience. I met a lot of new people here. Itallians are very nice, open-minded and have positive attitude to life. Thanks to them, I was able to get to know better the Italian culture, which causes, that I have now a broader view of the world. What's more, the exchange causes that I want to learn foreign languages more, because it can really help in future life. With Itallians we spent a lot of time sharing our experiences and having a lot of fun. We were together going to the local beach where we were swimming and sunbathing. The family which I was living with was very nice. They live in Stilo. It is one of the most beautiful cities in whole Calabria. It isn't big but it has it's charms. People who I met there greeted me with smiles on their faces. I'd like to stay longer in Italy, because two weeks isn't enough to fully enjoy Itallian charms. I will never forget this exchange.

Mobility in Soverato in Italy SEBASTIAN ZYCH I wanted to get to know better the culture of the country where we were travelling to work on the project with students from the partner school. Thanks to my host family and programme of our visit, prepared by Italian teachers it was very easy for me. Everyone was kind and very helpful. Also the place where I was living was amazing. The weather was beautiful all the time so most of the day me and my new Italian friends spent outside. We were cycling and in this way we could explore the city. Proximity to the sea is the biggest advantage of this area. We spent as much time as possible on the beach. Italians are very funny, nice and spontaneous people. It is impossible not to like them.

Mobility in Soverato in Italy ANNA SMULSKA Soverato is a beautiful town by the Ionian sea. I met a lot of new people. They are nice and polite. The food is delicious. I saw many interesting places like Reggio Calabria, Tropea and Archaeological Museum in Scolacium. The project Comenius is very good for us because we can learn foreign languages such as Italian, English and how to eat healthily. I also got familiar with a different culture, traditions and customs. I had an amazing time here and I will never forget it. I would like to come back here.

Mobility in Soverato in Italy MICHAŁ WSZOŁEK I’ve never been abroad before, so I felt uncertain about this project. We left Brzesko on 21st of May at 3 o’clock and we met our partners few hours later. My Italian friend, Simone, is very a kind and friendly friend. He has an older sister, who speaks English very well just like him. Simone lives in house in San Vito, 20km away from Soverato. During the project I had an opportunity to meet everybody in the town and represent San Vito as a goalkeeper in one of the football matches. Finally, I had opportunity to go to the beach, I had never been before. It was really amazing. In Soverato we received books about this city. The book is in Italian. I will use it as a part of my learning process. Italy is a beautiful, mountainous country where beaches are truly charming. This project has changed my life. I became more confident and I’ve started looking at some things in a different way. This exchange was an amazing experience and also an adventure. I’m sure that I’ll come back to the same place in the future.

Mobility in Soverato in Italy KAROL OPIŠA Italy is a beautiful country. I loved the sea the most. People were nice and had a very positive attitude for me. We were in Reggio di Calabria and Tropea, they are unbelievable places. I could get to know Italian lifestyle because I lived in an Italian house. I like Italian lifestyle. It is different, in Poland I live faster and I have less free time. My host family were very nice, helpful and supportive. I would like to stay there longer but I can't. I think I will come back there someday. Comenius project was very good for me and I could learn a lot of new things. Thanks to Comenius I’m confident. I want to learn foreign languages and find out more about other cultures.

In this month, May 2014, in Soverato we hosted Polish guys. My partner, Anka, is very polite and nice. With the other Polish guys we met everyday in the school and shared a lot of unforgettable days. Our teacher prepared a rich program which involved both study and fun, so in these day we went to the sea, we swam and practiced traditional games and the Polish guys won most of them. That project is really important for our growth, I wish to repeat this experience again. Pierpaolo Donato

I'm Santoro Salvatore and I joined Comenius with the Polish students. The guy that I hosted is Karol. He is very strong and very nice. We had great fun together and we lived together this wonderful intercultural experience. I learned his habits. I had even the possibility of appreciating Calabrian beauties through our trips. Next year I will go to Poland to learn about their traditions as well. On June 1st he will return to Poland and it will be sad for all.

MONIKA KLIMCZAK I decided to participate in this project because I like to learn foreign languages. Since my first conversation with the teacher from the partner school I knew that this undertakingwould be something special. Healthy lifestyle and physical activity are very important to me and I would like to help others to take care of their health. But this project is so much more. First of all and what is most important, that I could cooperate with wonderful people. Thanks to them this experience was full of joy. Of course, sometimes it was hard work too, but the results brought a lot of satisfaction. Thanks to that project I acquirednew skills and competences on many levels. I could learn much faster sharing ideas with colleagues and students from my and partner school. During different meetings and time spent with people involved in realization of this project I got a lot of positive energy. This gave me further motivation to develop my skills (for example language skills).

My experience in Poland, Krakow –Greta Fanelli On October 18th we went to Krakow, Poland's second largest city. It was very beautiful there including homes that have Gothic style. We visited the Chocolate Factory, and then we had two free hour time going around the city. I believe that Market square is one of the best places I have ever seen. we had a great time and I realized for the first time in my life that we must appreciate such experiences which take place only a few times during life..

Auschwitz - Simone Muraca In my Comenius experience what I felt as the best experience was surely Oswiecim. It is a visit everyone should do.. It is incredible because it's hard to believe how people might have been so brutal. When I was inside I felt so sad because I realize that it was worse than I had seen on Tv. The images of cases, hair, combs, beds, shoes, glasses and the furnace will remain impressed on my mind forever.

Francesco Guccini: Ad Auschwitz c'era la neve, il fumo saliva lento nel freddo giorno d' inverno e adesso sono nel vento.

VOLLEYBALLIlenia Rauti Volleyball is one of my favourite sports and I had the chance to join a singular match during the Comenius mobility in Poland. Comenius team composed of both groups faced the Polish official school one one and won. Even if we were not trained to play together we arranged in such a perfect way we succeeded in. This means we are so close-knit knit as friends we found the proper way to act harmoniously. I believe we shall be forever friends and I hope in the future future we’ll be able to share other wonderful moments.

ANNA GIBES My son took part in an international exchange for the first time. Thanks to the „Comenius” Programme he had an opportunity to go to Italy, to the beautiful place which is Soverato. The photo of our students’ stay in Italy was breathtaking. Sebastian was very pleased with the exchange. Traditions, new friends, contact with Italian culture. All of this enriched him as a man. Finally, the time of Italians’ arrival in Brzesko has come. We were only worried if they would enjoy Polish cuisine. But Sebastian reassured me that his Italian friend would eat everything , just like he did in Italy. He was right. He really enjoyed Polish cuisine, or at least he said so ☺. Youngsters spent a lot of time together accomplishing the project. As I work in ZSP 1 I had an opportunity to get to know the Italians closer, for example during sports activities. They are friendly young people with a great sense of humor. Our students’ commitment during the mobility in Poland was very impressive and I think that everyone will remember the time we spent together and have pleasant memories.

My experience in Poland- Family and friendsAntonino Iorfida In Poland I was very happy because I found a great family that loved me. They were all very nice and kind and made me feel at home. Anna's parents behaved like mine, when they realized I smoked they let me smoke in the garden. I've eaten a lot of good dishes here like pierogi and bigos ... . The weather was colder than in Italy and I had to take precautions not to get temperature!! The school had a lot of facilities and a wonderful gym and we practiced some sports like handball, volleyball, tennis, zumba, soccer and belgijka. Even if I was bad at all games, it was funny and instructive for me!

Antonella Morrone “Tonight Antonino came back from Poland ... He brings the trolley, the suitcase and another bag ... the bigger, the most beautiful one! This bag is also the heavier one. Because it's full of many things ... First of all, a huge heart, with Poland inside. And many emotions, many experiences, joy ... love. Love for a wonderful nation of wonderful people. Thank you, Poland. Thank you Anna Myszka, thank you family Myszka. Thank you, Brzesku. Thank you, guys. Thank you all, thank you for all!

My experience in Poland. Aiello October 14th, 2014. At the first day of my trip Polish guys led us to Corleone, a pizzeria where they made a pizza which is different from ours, because the dough and the sauce had a particular flavour. Yet it was not so bad. After pizza we went outside and had a long chat about our culinary traditions with our Polish mates and it was surprising to discover we had almost the same preferences .... The place was really nice and to tell the truth I could have never imagined I would have spent such a delicious evening.

ITALY/POLAND This experience was wonderful because I knew new people and their customs through videos made by them. I hosted a Polish girl, Mariola. She is a very pretty nice and polite girl. My family was striken by my intercultural experience. We taught them a few things about our city and our customs. They adore Soverato and love the sea and in fact they are sad to leave the sea and return to Poland. We even practiced some sports activities according to the aim of the project both as national teams and mixed in international groups. I will remember this experience forever. Sara

Polska

Italia

My memorise with Polish people are really good. I met a lot of guys and learned a lot of new worlds in different language ( like lewo means sinistra or siema means ciao ). We spent time together and had a lot fun. In free time I tried to learn some Italian worlds my Polish friends like grazie, ciao, prego. I and my Italian friends show them how we spend our afternoon for example : We went to beach, we played to tiro alla fune, corsa con I sacchi. I have really nice guy in my house, his name is Michal, he has 17 years and he likes football like me. I can’t wait to come to Poland, but I have to. Simone

We remember all the times we laughed together, wehad together‌. and as our lives change, come whatever we never forget this time and we’ll still be friends forever.
