NLCS—NIST Learning Community Seminars NLCS’s are seminars for parents to explore the essential elements of the three International Baccalaureate Programmes that we offer at NIST:  The Primary Years Programme EY-Y6  The Middle Years Programme Y7-Y11  The Diploma Programme Y12-Y13 At NIST we are a community of learners—the administration, the staff, the teachers, the parents and the students. We believe in home and school partnership and that the more involved and informed the parents are about what we do and why we do it-the better the outcomes for our students. Electronic flyers will be sent home one week prior to any seminar and we ask that you email the respective school secretary if you wish to attend so that we are best able to plan our space and resources. Anchaleet@nist.ac.th Primary School KanokwanT@nist.ac.th Secondary School This year we are limited to 60 participants per seminar. Please email to guarantee your place. There will be other times when you are invited to attend meetings at the school—Year Level camps / Year Level specific meetings. These will continue to take place outside this whole school calendar of seminars.

“The student is best served when the relationships between the teacher and the parent, and between the school and the home, are reciprocal and supportive. In the IB classroom, parents are welcomed as partners, with a clear role to play in supporting the school and their own children. They are involved and informed.” International Baccalaureate
