WESTERN UNDERGRADUATE EXCHANGE (WUE)

Students can attend a participating college for reduced tuition.
● Out-of-state students pay no more than 150% of in-state tuition at participating schools, compared with nonresident rates that can exceed 300% of in-state rates
● WUE is sometimes offered only to certain students (high GPA, well rounded)

Fall/Spring of Sophomore/Junior Year
Research universities…find the ones that have programs you are interested in. Visit colleges…sign up for tours well ahead of time. USE PERSONAL EMAIL for all college transactions!!!!
Spring of Junior Year Fill out your brag sheet and request letters of recommendation (if needed); Scholarship applications often ask for letters of recommendation
August 1 Begin your UC Application- DUE NOVEMBER 30th
August-November Start drafting your UC PIQs (Personal Insight Questions)
Fall Begin your Common App Application (if going private or out of state) Due Dates and requirements vary. Check your individual Colleges.
October 1st CSU Application for Fall 2024 Opens! DUE DECEMBER 1st
October 1st First day to submit UC Application
November 1st Early Action and Early Decision Applications Due
November 1st - February 1st Local/El Dorado County Scholarships: DUE FEBRUARY 1st www.scholarships.edcoe.org
December 1st(this is not always the exact the date) UC and CSU Applications Due (other universities have different deadlines…check each carefully)
End of March Decisions from CSU/UC’s are announced (check your personal email)
May 1st College Decision Day!!
