Dear Parents, What do you get when you mix water and soap? Bubbles! The children will make many fascinating discoveries as we focus on a Bubbles theme. Through experiences provided, the children will learn the ingredients used in making bubbles, sizes of bubbles, and tools for making bubbles. AT SCHOOL

AT HOME

Some of the learning experiences planned to highlight bubble concepts are:

Try these following activities with your child/ ren to reinforce bubble concept at home:

• Washing dolls and dishes in the sensory table.

• Allow your child to assist in washing dishes after a meal. This experience will give your child/ren a sense of responsibility and promote self-esteem, as well as heighten his/her awareness of the purpose of bubbles for cleaning.

• Testing many bubble solution recipes. • Making bubbles with common household items such as plastic berry baskets, funnels, straws, pipe cleaners, spools, and scissors.

• Prepare the following bubble solution with your child, then blow some bubbles! You need one cup pf water, two tablespoons of liquid dish soap, and one tablespoon of glycerin (optional). Enjoy!

• Creating prints of bubbles in the art area.
