Description: This training is specifically designed to incorporate all Dimensions of the PRE-K CLASS Observation and educate learners on how to solve design challenges with young children. Practitioners will have the opportunity to make and tinker while learning how to conduct design challenges which include Math and Literacy using NAEYC’s Making & Tinkering with STEM.
Special Note: This learning event will require successful completion of homework and Implementation Plan to receive credit for the course.
OUTCOMES:
Learners will adapt their environment to include loose parts for children to explore freely.
Learners will facilitate children’s learning with a design challenge providing an opportunity to plan and construct a structure.
Learners will implement an entire design challenge with children through strategies and hands on application.

Description: La capacitación explorará los tres volúmenes (La base, Rutinas y experiencias, Las metas para el desarrollo y el aprendizaje) y los materiales complementarios (Mega minutos,Tarjetas de enseñanza intencional, Tarjetas de discusión de libros) incluidos en el paquete del plan de estudios. describir la importancia y los beneficios de un entorno receptivo y una atención individualizada. Description: This 4-day virtual learning event will be conducted on Zoom. It is designed to help teachers of all levels implement The Creative Curriculum for Preschool 6th Edition in their classroom. Teachers will become familiar with the 38 objectives for Development and Learning that inform every aspect of teaching. They will explore and practice using the knowledge-building volumes and daily resources. Through group discussions, activities, and homework assignments, teachers will learn how to implement a study, use Teaching Guides, create a lesson plan, and discover how to integrate content into daily events through intentional teaching experiences.
Special Note: Early Childhood Practitioners who register for this course should be employed in a program in which The Creative Curriculum for Preschool Sixth Edition has been purchased/and is being used for preschool age groups. Participants must have access to the 6 Volumes of the Creative Curriculum for Preschool during each session. For successful completion and award of 1.2 CEUs, participants are required to attend all 4 sessions, maintain a 75% participation rate and complete 2 hours of homework.

Special Note: CEU credits will be awarded upon successful completion of 3.5 hours of instructor led instruction with 30 minutes of field assignment. Field assignment will be scored using a rubric related to learner outcomes.
