Tuesday, 9th August 2011 – Kochi On arrival at Kochi - your entertaining tour starts here. Proceed to your Hotel for check in. Later, head out for Kochi city sightseeing. Visit its prestigious monuments like the Jewish Synagogue and Dutch Palace at Mattancherry. Drive to Fort Kochi get the glimpses of its colonial past at the majestic Churches and Anglo Indian mansions. View the antique Chinese fishing nets. Subject to time, avail an option to watch ‘Kathakali’ – Kerala’s world known dance drama. After familiarizing Kochi, return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Friday, 12th August 2011 – Thekkady This morning, drive to another lovely landscape, Thekkady. On arrival, check-in to the hotel. Soon, set out for sightseeing. Feel the fresh mountain air and mist-coated hills. Take an optional boat cruise in the Periyar Lake with glimpses of a variety of wild species. If time permits, also avail other refreshing options like, watching ‘Kalari-payattu’ (Kerala’s indigenous martial arts – and one of the oldest fighting system in existence ), Elephant ride … Later return to the hotel and stay overnight.
Saturday, 13th August 2011 – Alappuzha Today is the most prestigious watersports event in Kerala history, the Nehru Trophy Boat Race. Drive to Aleppy, Check in at the hotel, refresh yourself and proceed to the venue – the Punnamada Lake in Alappuzha, the Venice of the East. Proceed to witness the live action show of some finest oarsmen in the world. Watch in awe how dozens of giant snake boats electrify the backwaters.
