Drifting is the fastest growing motorsport in the world.

Mostly considered as an extreme sport, it consists of high horsepower vehicles going side by side at speeds over 100 mph.

A group of judges score each participant based on speed, angle, style and overall impact.

Due to the compact nature of drifting events, spectators can view an entire event from one vantage point, meaning they never miss a second of action or sponsor visibility unlike most other motorsports.

INTRODUCTION <

PowerDrift Club was founded in 2007 as the official non-profit association representing the sport of drifting in Cyprus (under the Cyprus Automobile Federation - member of the Cyprus Sports Organization with A.E 3555).

With over 150 active members and 50 drivers, PowerDrift club is considered as the strongest and most popular motorsport association in Cyprus.

With 17 succesful years of race competitions, PowerDrift club has established a rich history of motorsport for Cyprus, hosting international events with worldwide renowned judges and drivers attending and competing from countries like Japan, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Hungary, Romania and Poland to name a few.

The Cyprus Drift Championship is considered as one of the top 10 in the world in regards to local talent and car builds.

Since 2007, PowerDrift Club had decided that, with the income that would be collected from the events, the sponsors, as well as from the subscriptions, it would send every year at least its best three (3) athletes abroad to compete in international competitions showcasing the championship sponsors along the way.

This move was made in order to give an additional incentive to the athletes of the championship as well as to be able to promote the athletes of our island and Cyprus in events where the best Drift drivers of Europe participate.

Since then and every year the top Cypriot drivers have competed in international events held in Greece with victories and podium finishes by our athletes like George Christoforou, Pambos Charalambous, Nikolas Patak, Sergio Grigoriou and Andros Antoniou.

In 2018 the Cyprus National Drift team was formed and the athletes with their cars are sent collectivelly to represent Cyprus and PowerDrif Club with the help of the Cyprus Sports Association.

[POWERDRIFT CLUB HAS PLEDGED TO MAKE A CHARITY DONATION FROM EACH RACE.

No ACCIDENTS IN ANY OF THE POWERDRIFT CLUB RACES SINCE 2008.

CORPORATE / SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Some of the association members and drivers are Turkish-Cypriot. This is how we cultivate the noble rivalry between athletes and of the two communities as we also contribute with this one way to the reunification of Cyprus.

Social responsibility programs related to reduction of road accidents. In cooperation with the government and police, PowerDrift club members and drivers visit local schools to talk about motorsport safety and driving responsibility.

The association has a goal and responsibility to get closer to the younger generation, to bring them close to the sport, to run in secured areas with vehicles that meet safety standards both for their own safety as well as that of the spectators.
