There is no specific formula that explains why a women is released from a particular chapter or why awomen prefers one chapter more than another. The Panhellenic Council makes every effort to allow each PNM the best opportunity to join the sorority of her choice, but there are no guarantees a young women will be places within that specific sorority. It is important to keep an open mind during the recruiment and to use the time to meet and make new friends!
Please understand the no chapter member can guarantee you a bid or an invitation to the next round, nor should they be pressuring you to rank a particular way. Although a paricular member may want you to be their sister, the mutual selection process is a lot more than that. Bid promising doesn't provide a fair, unbiased opportunity for out potential new members, therefore is not allowed. The Panhellenic Council strives to allow every young women an opportunity to find a sorority that bestt fits her values, interests, and personal goals. We do not want you to feel any pressure when ranking chapters, so it is important to keep an open mind Please contact your Gamma Chi or the Panhellenic Council if you feel you have been bid promised.
