BAXTER JR. HIGH

Welcome to the 2023-24 school year! As we embark upon a new school year, I am deeply honored to serve as Principal of Baxter Junior High School. I am entering my fourth year as a principal at Everman ISD and my first year as Principal of BJH! I am originally from Louisiana, but my family and I moved to Texas in 2006. I have two children (Antonio and Peyton) and a granddaughter (Zoe). I hold a Bachelor of Science in English Education and a Master of Science in Educational Administration. I am enrolled in my third year of graduate school, pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Administration. Over the past 20 years, I have worked as a teacher and administrator with fifteen of those years in Everman ISD. I spent nine years at Everman High School as an English teacher, AVID teacher, AVID Coordinator, and then as the 12th Grade Assistant Principal. I also spent three years here at Baxter Junior High School as the 8th Grade Assistant Principal

We, the staff, will continue to work hard to continue the legacy of success established long ago by building strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners. We will continue a strong focus on character education initiatives, the social and emotional wellbeing of our students, using data to drive instruction, and providing consistent implementation of high-quality instructional materials rigorously so that we can continue to ERASE ALL learning gaps caused by the pandemic.
