As the new Principal of Dan Powell Early Learning Academy, I am thrilled to extend a heartfelt welcome to our students, parents, and community members as we embark on another exciting academic year.

I bring over 25 years of experience in various districts and capacities to Powell. I have served the Everman community for the past six years as the Assistant Principal of Townley Elementary School

This year our theme is Blast Off Into Learning! Our dedicated team of educators has worked diligently to create a safe and inclusive learning space for our little ones. We understand the developmental needs of our Pre-K and Kindergarten students and employ research-based instructional strategies to promote active engagement, critical thinking, and creativity We value the importance of play and exploration and strive to foster a love for learning in our students.

We invite you to participate actively in our school community through volunteering, joining our PTO, parent conferences, or attending school events Research shows that when parents or guardians are involved in their child’s education, there is a greater likelihood of academic success.

Communication is vital in fostering strong relationships between school and home. I want to assure you that my door is always open to address any questions, concerns, or suggestions you may have Let’s join hands to create an environment where our young learners can thrive and reach their full potential.
