November 2015 World Scout Seminar on Environment Education, Czech Republic 2016 Dear friends in Scouting, We are pleased to inform you that the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) will be organising the World Scout Seminar on Environment Education that is hosted by Junák – Czech Scouting, (Junák – český skaut) from 18 – 21 May 2016, at Kapraluv mlyn SCENES Centre in the Czech Republic. Participants of the seminar will be updated on the programme and other useful information later. Aim
Bringing the Scout leaders together and stimulate exchange of the ideas on environmental education and foster new working knowledge for the implementation of the World Scout Environmental Program (WSEP), strengthen the SCENES Centres and Environment Partnerships.

Date
To improve and enhance the ability of NSOs to provide sustainable and comprehensive environmental education program by implementing the World Scout Environmental Program at national and local/community level. Exchanging Ideas on the improvement and strengthening the SCENES Initiative, Environment Partnerships and Networks To provide a learning platform for the NSOs through this Seminar, for gaining variety of experiences and share understanding of the environment education activities with each others.
18 - 21 May 2016 Participants are required to arrive by the evening of 17 May 2016 and depart on 22 May 2016. Upon request, pre- and post-seminar accommodation can be arranged by directly coordinating with the host NSO/Centre and for this an additional costs may be borne by the participants. Please send us your requests by 19 February 2016.

Seminar Fee
225 Euros (This will include 6 days / 5 nights. The fee covers all the meals, field trips and transport of participants to and from Brno on arrival/departure).
Participant Eligibility
All national and regional Environment Education (WSEP/SCENES) team members, supporters and Environment Partners are eligible to attend this seminar.

Working Language
As the working language of the seminar is English only, NSOs are requested to select participants who understand and actively use English.
Accommodation
Each participant will be accommodated with a bed including all the bedding in 2 to 12 beds bedrooms in the Kaprálův mlýn Scout Centre. Towels will be provided.
Meals
All meals will be provided to participants with respect to all diets, ranging from halal, kosher to gluten-free and vegan. The dietary requirements must be indicated in the application to the seminar.
Passport and Visa
If you need a visa for Czech Republic, please send your passport details to Michal Medek (michal.medek@kapraluvmlyn.cz) and request for a letter of invitation or other documents that you may require for your visa application. Please include “World Scout Seminar on Environment Education” in the subject line of your email. The request for letter of invitation should be submitted by 15 February 2016.
Dress Code
Attire for the seminar includes your Scout uniform for Opening and Closing Ceremonies and formal functions, and neat casual clothes for other sessions. The programme will include activities in the nature, and optionally cave exploration, thus clothing that can get dirty might come handy. Outdoor shoes are not permitted in the Centre, so please bring indoors sleepers. For image building purposes, you may also be requested to wear your Scout uniform in public.
Local Information
The local currency is the Czech koruna (CZK), payment for the seminar and on-site payments can be made in Euro (€). May is nice month in the Czech Republic with many flowers in bloom. However, the temperatures may vary from 5 to 25 °C, rain showers may appear as well. Czech Republic is using C/E electric plugs as the rest of the continental Europe (see e.g. here for details).
