CHECK IN 2PM | CHECK OUT 9AM

Check In is from 2pm (sooner, as your room is ready) & room check out is at 9am. Guests are welcome to arrive from 8am on your day of arrival. Luggage storage & shower/change facilities are available for your day or arrival & day of departure. Guest luggage storage & departure transfers are available to 4.30pm on your day of departure.

Please note, the 7pm Ski Tube from Bullocks Flat is the latest train which will get you to the Eiger Chalet in time for dinner in the White Spider Restaurant.

We highly recommend guests plan your trip to Perisher to arrive between 8am & 4pm to avoid adverse weather risks & travel delays due to traffic & ski tube delays. Travelling to Perisher late in the night can be extremely dangerous due to the extreme weather in the Mountains.

A late check-in service can be pre arranged & tailored for Guest convenience. This service can be pre-arranged over the phone with our Chalet Host during your personalised welcome call made the day prior to your arrival. We kindly request your balance payment is made prior to your arrival if you are planning a late check in.

Upon check in at the Eiger Chalet, all guests will be required to complete a Guest Registration Card that confirms your acceptance of our Eiger Chalet Guest Terms & Conditions (T&C's) of your stay. This includes notification of the NSW Fire False Alarm Call out fee for any false alarms that you may be responsible for, during your stay. If required, please contact the Chalet for a copy of the T&C's prior to your arrival.

2023 RESERVATION CANCELLATION POLICY

If cancelled, eight weeks prior to the first night of your accommodation, your deposit will be refunded less 25% of the total tariff of your reservation

Reservation amendments / guest transfer are at the discretion of the Eiger Chalet Reservation Hosts & subject to availability. They will incur an administration fee of $150 per amendment, as well as any additional tariff applicable Guest change over within an existing reservation incur a $150 fee.

Cancellations & amendments can only be made in writing (via email) between the Chalet & the Guest in which the original reservation was made (stay@eiger.com.au). White Spider Restaurant reservations & meal inclusions are non-transferrable & non-refundable.

INSURANCE

We strongly recommend travel insurance whenever you travel, to cover any incidental losses (theft of ski's/boards, equipment etc), damage, personal injury or illness, including the inability to travel

Beth & her team will come & care for your babies & children in the comfort of the Eiger Chalet, ensuring their safety & wellbeing. Only Chalet Guests are permitted to occupy the Chalet Guest Rooms & breakout areas for babysitting services.

WINING & DINING | BREAKFAST & DINNER

Chalet guests enjoy a gourmet breakfast & your choice of a 2 course meal (entrée & main course or main course & dessert) from our White Spider Restaurant À La Carte Menu, daily per person. You are more than welcome to order a 3rd additional course from our menu & purchase/charge this to your room on the evening if you wish.

Enjoy a 2 course dinner from our nutritious children's menu

INFANTS (0-2 years)

Full children's meals are not included for infants aged 0-2 years, we kindly request you discuss your infants meal requirements at the time of confirming your reservation or with reception upon check in to arrange your necessary requirements prior to your families dinner reservation.

When the snow is in, we are just like an island... completely surrounded by snow! There is NO OVERNIGHT PARKING in Perisher.

All road & parking restrictions are subject to change daily in accordance with RMS & NPWS, the weather, road conditions & road closure status.

PERISHER SKI TUBE | FREE PARKING AT BULLOCKS FLAT

Guests can leave your car in the overnight security patrolled car park at the Bullocks Flat Skitube Terminal, free of charge & travel to Perisher via Skitube. The Skitube is a short 10 min (apx) / 8.5km trip. 6.3km's of the journey is underground making it one of the longest underground train tunnels in Australia & travelling as deep as 550m underground, so it's an experience in itself!

After travelling through Jindabyne, take the Thredbo turnoff (Alpine Way) towards Thredbo (not Perisher)follow the Alpine Way for approx. 20 minutes (subject to road conditions) the Bullocks Flat Ski Tube Terminal is located on the right h& side of the road. The access to the Bullocks Flat Ski Tube is clearly marked with large signs on the side of the road. Ride the skitube to Perisher.

OVERSNOW TRANSFERS TO THE CHALET

Upon your arrival & departure to Perisher, between 8am and 5pm our Chalet offers our Guests complimentary over snow transfers to & from the Perisher Ski Tube terminal or where the snow meets the road for guests who have pre-booked the valet parking service (please refer to page 7 above)

A Chalet Host will be in contact with you over the phone, the evening prior to your arrival to confirm your estimated time of arrival (ETA)

After your complimentary arrival transfer to the Chalet, the best way to further explore Perisher is by walking & or skiing/riding over the snow!

On your day of departure, upon check out, our Chalet Host will arrange your complimentary departure transfer to the Perisher Ski Tube terminal or the turning circle (where the snow meets the road)

OVERSNOW TRANSFER PICK UP LOCATION

When you arrive at the top of the Ski Tube terminal in Perisher Valley, please make your way to the glass exit doors closest to the 4Site Oversnow (Formally known as Hans oversnow) / Charlotte’s Pass Guest Services Desks & call the Chalet for your oversnow transfer

There is a Guest courtesy phone located on the wall opposite if you would like to use that to call the Chalet.

Please keep your eye out for the Black Eiger Chalet Oversnow Vehicle ""Snute"" & our Chalet Driver just outside the glass exit doors. Your oversnow trip to the Chalet will take a couple of minutes, 150 meters or so, over the snow to the Chalet entry.

GUEST LATE ARRIVAL | OVERSNOW TRANSFERS & CHECK IN

For guests arriving late we can happily arrange a late night check in. Upon confirmation of your arrival times the day prior to your arrival, the Eiger staff will advise of these details & provide the necessary information to get you in safe & sound!

4SITE provide an over snow taxi service for guests arriving outside of the Eiger Chalet transfer times of 8am to 5pm. It is recommended that you pre-book this service prior to you arrival to Perisher by calling them on 02 6412 2244.

4SITE OVERSNOW PRICING (subject to change, please contact them direct for a quote): $18 per person from Ski Tube terminal to the Eiger Chalet. Once again, we highly recommend guests plan your trip to Perisher to arrive between 8am & 4pm to avoid adverse weather risks & travel delays due to traffic & ski tube delays. KOSCIUSZKO NATIONAL PARK ENTRY FEE

There is a fee for vehicles using Kosciuszko National Park, with entry stations on three of the main roads entering the park. The winter surcharge daily passes are $29 (NSW Pensioner Card-holders are exempt from this cost). This pass is included with the Skitube ticket as well as some of the Valet parking / private transfer servies.

HANDY TRAVEL TIPS

There are a few stairs within our Chalet to your room, please keep this in mind when packing your bags!

Bring waterproof & wind proof suitable ski clothing – layers of clothing is the best option, & waterproof ski gloves, hats (beanies), neck warmers & goggles. Check clothing for "ratings" which means how wind & waterproof clothing is eg: a 5000 - 10,000 wind & water rating is generally acceptable for Australia.

Consider obtaining thermal underwear – you will appreciate them & their benefits. Your equipment for the chosen activity - skiing, boarding or other. We provide ski locks for boards & ski's for use at the Eiger Chalet for overnight storage. We suggest purchasing your own lock for use on the Mountain. Unfortunately, it is common for ski's, boards & equipment to get lost, mixed up &/or stolen while out on the mountain. Check your travel insurance to see if you would be covered in case of theft.

Obtain approved rated sunglasses for everyone – in particularly children. Bring or hire waterproof footwear /Après Boots– eg: leather hiking boots (high tops) or snow boots. Running shoes/joggers are not suitable for walking in deep snow. Snow falls over 5cm will go straight into the runners & your feet will be wet!

If you have purchased an online ski hire package from Perisher, please read the conditions as some hire packages stipulate they have to be collected from Bullocks Flat (located at the base of the skitube). Some packages only provide access to certain parts of the mountain.

Protecting yourself & family from variable weather elements:

Sunscreen & lip balm – Factor 30 or higher & re-apply on all family / friends several times per day The reflection from the snow plus the high altitude makes sunburn & windburn exceptionally likely even in overcast weather The weather (sun & wind) is more harsh / damaging than being at the beach!!!!

Skiing is a high activity sport so water bottles are a great suggestion to re-hydrate Once all of the above equipment has been collected, a small back pack to carry the equipment or place in a locker is a great recommendation
