Eating habits/ Hygiene and lifestyle questionnaire

This questionnaire aims to find out the eating and hygiene habits of the participants, as well as their lifestyle in times of confinement by the COVID-19 virus pandemic.

It was observed a higher consumption of vegetables in main dish and in the portions eaten daily in Portuguese students than in students from other countries involved in the project.

For other itens under analysis no differences were observed between countries.

Conclusions The results obtained in this questionnaire demonstrate that eating habits of students are unbalanced.

Main highlights: • The majority of the students have below 4 meals per day; • Just around 50% of the students have snacks daily; • 50% of the students do not include salad in main meals; • The majority of the students eat less than 3 pieces of fruit

per day, that is below nutritional recommendations; • The majority of the students intake below 1,5L of water per day, that is below nutritional recommendations; • Portuguese students seem to have a higher consumption of vegetables in general, and in future projects with the same

partners they could help them with strategies to promote the consumption of this important food group; • All countries have a low consumption of fruit, vegetables and water, reason why the partnership in this project that allowed the participation of students from the graduation of nutrition, was and in the future could be a great opportunity to promote healthy eating habits through e-Twinning Project.
