News & Updates from EHOVE To Our Neighbors & Friends

Since 1968, EHOVE Career Center has provided a high quality educa on to our high school and adult educa on students who live throughout our mul -county service area. We are proud to offer students challenging academic and career tech courses designed to meet their unique skills and interests. EHOVE is dedicated to preparing students for immediate employment in a career field by providing them with opportuni es to par cipate in work-based learning experiences and learn skills to advance in the trade of their choice. Students are also prepared for college through challenging academic classes and opportuni es to take college courses for credit at no cost. High school and adult educa on students can design the career tech and academic plan that will lead them to the next step of their career path. Community members who are looking for training opportuni es or want to see more of what EHOVE has to offer are invited to visit EHOVE to see firsthand what the career center has to offer.

EHOVE connects with local businesses

A strong economy starts with a skilled workforce in today’s world. EHOVE has teamed up with area businesses and industry professionals to develop programs that ensure that our community has a well-trained workforce. Local employers partner with EHOVE to provide the training that current and future employees need to be successful on the job. “David Price Metal Services and Fabriweld Corpora on rely heavily on EHOVE Career Center for a variety of resources, most importantly their pool of skilled graduates for manufacturing,” said Chris Price, President of both companies. “Whether we are seeking candidates in fabrica on, machining, welding or electricity, EHOVE graduates always rank at the top of our lists. We are grateful for the EHOVE educa on and overall experience so that graduates can enter our skilled workforce with confidence and hit the ground running.” EHOVE also connects with area economic development offices to iden fy current and future training needs of business and industry. These dedicated professionals work collabora vely with EHOVE to design career tech programs to help current employees keep their jobs, advance in their companies and retrain for another posi on. These efforts promote economic growth by demonstra ng a well-trained workforce to a ract poten al companies to the area. EHOVE trains the workforce of tomorrow

EHOVE prepares high school students throughout 16 area school districts for college and in-demand careers. This year, 840 students are currently enrolled in 24 career tech programs. Students have many opportuni es to get a jumpstart on their future by earning industry cer fica ons, par cipa ng in real-world work experiences, and earning free college credit. Stay informed about EHOVE’s levy

On November 5, voters will be asked to consider a ½ mill EHOVE replacement levy. EHOVE voters first passed the levy in 1979 and have renewed it in ‘84, ‘89, ‘94, ‘99, ’03 and ‘08. EHOVE’s ½ mill replacement levy will cost an addi onal $9.30 per year for a $100,000 home (or 78₵ per month). •

EHOVE’s levy dollars will be used to update equipment and instruc onal materials to maintain state-of-the-art career tech programs.

EHOVE trains over 3500 high school and adult students each year for in-demand careers cri cal to growing our local economy.

EHOVE will con nue to deliver the latest programs in over 24 career fields such as healthcare, industrial and automo ve technologies, skilled trades, public safety and engineering.

EHOVE’s ½ mill replacement levy will support daily opera ons. The current building project is being financed with a low interest loan.


EHOVE is making a difference for today’s workers

Each year, over 3000 area adults begin a journey with EHOVE’s 26 accredited programs that helps them start a new career or learn skills to keep their current job or advance in their career, or become more involved through over 100 career enhancement and special interest classes. Through EHOVE’s adult educa on center, students have many opportuni es such as earning industry creden als in their field, making professional connec ons while gaining experience in their field and earning college credit that transfers to two or four year ins tu ons. Building for our future at EHOVE

A er ten years of discussion and research, EHOVE felt the me was right to address some facility needs. The goal is to provide high school and adult students with the most up-to-date learning environment in the most economical means possible for our taxpayers. This project is being financed with a low interest loan, not a request to taxpayers for addi onal funding. The 66,750 square feet of new and renovated area will house high tech classrooms, state-of-the-art science labs, a new mul purpose room, flexible spaces for the community and staff, technology and support areas, student study areas and reconfigured office spaces.
