WWSW is designed to help us become our authentic selves Together, we will develop clarity, confidence, and courage to design the vision for our lives as we embrace and understand the importance of owning our shine. We will be equipped with tools to help us show up confident in the world and become the people of our dreams. We will be held accountable and challenged to develop a growth mindset for true transformation.

Women Who Shine of Washington State believes that every woman has the power to shine brightly and live her best life. Through our program, workshops, and events, we equip women with the tools, resources, and mindset needed to overcome obstacles, embrace their strengths, and achieve their goals. Our goal is to inspire and uplift women to shine bright, make an impact, and leave a positive mark on the world.

In 2023, Leilani, along with Ehmandah Ramsey and DanVonique Bletson-Reed, founded “Own Your Shine” with the vision of honoring those women in African American history who, with great courage, overcame insurmountable odds and became change makers in history.

These remarkable women not only excel in their respective fields but also serve as beacons of inspiration, uplifting their communities and making a profound impact on the world Through their unwavering dedication, these alumni have woven a tapestry of empowerment, creating a legacy that resonates within the African American community and beyond.

MILLER

Leilani Miller is a force of inspiration and compassion, a woman whose heart beats for the betterment of her community and beyond Leilani, a true beacon of hope, has dedicated her life to uplifting others and ensuring that every individual reaches their fullest potential, living out their dreams.

In 2023 Leilani, along with Ehmanda Ramsey and DanVonique Bletson-Reed founded “Own Your Shine” with the vision of honoring those women in African American history that with great courage overcame insurmountable odds and became change makers in history. Their vision is to encourage women in their communities to remember those that came before them and move forward in their purpose and vision, letting nothing stop them, because they are “surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses” upon whose shoulders they can stand on.

Leilani has always been invested in the lives in her community. Her desire is to see that all each their potential and accomplish their dreams, encouraging others to overcome obstacles and preserve. After leading many community programs in Chino Hills and receiving recognition by the United States Senate, the California legislature and her community as showing strength of character and sacrifices by choosing to get involved and make a difference She was awarded a congressional certificate for enhancing the quality of life, showing strength of character and compassion for those less fortunate

In 2004 after being ordained a baptist minister in California, Leilani was called to the Pacific Northwest with vision in her heart to help homeless woman and their children. She and her husband founded Millennia Ministries which became home to over 400-500 women and their children. Millennia Ministries grew with the goal of meeting needs, transforming lives by ocusing on meeting the needs of those marginalized in her surrounding communities with ood, clothing, housing advocacy, counseling and other resources. Over the years Millennia has gone into thousands of homes delivering groceries to families in transition, seniors, vets and serving the unhoused. She has traveled to Africa, South America and Mexico ministering to women and children, providing resources to those in need. She has received numerous awards from her community in Everett, Washington, and in 2020 received an honorary doctorate.

DanVonique Royale Bletson-Reed has been a resident of Snohomish County for over 35 years. She graduated from Marysville-Pilchuck High School in 1997 and Everett Community College in 1999, where she received her Associate of Arts degree In 2001, DanVonique received her bachelor’s degree in society, ethics, and human behavior from the University of Washington. In 2004, she received her master’s degree in adult education and distance learning from the University of Phoenix.

She is the Minister of Music at the Jubilee Church of God in Christ, Everett, WA. She also serves as an instructor for the Discipleship class, which is a part of the Jubilee School of Ministry, and as Chairlady of the Missions Department for the Washington State Jurisdictional Church of God in Christ

BLETSON-REED

DanVonique is the Executive Director of SONLITE Consultants, which is a personal development organization founded by her father, Mr. Fredrick T. Bletson Jr. She is also the founder of SAVED (Soulwinning agents promoting inner vision and encouraging divine destiny). SAVED provides support and companionship to aging adults who may be struggling with loneliness and isolation because of spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health challenges.

DanVonique is the proud mother of three beautiful children: Jeremy Lydell Reed Jr., Jemyre Samuel Reed, and Jemyah D’Nique Reed.

RAMSEY

Ehmandah Ramsey is a vibrant Coach, Creative Entrepreneur, and Certified ETA Speaker with a passion for guiding individuals towards holistic well-being With over 15 years of experience in providing life guidance, Ehmandah serves as the Co-Pastor of the E Church and holds the esteemed title of former Chaplain of McKinley Children’s Center in San Dimas, CA.

In 2016, she made a significant mark on the entrepreneurial landscape by founding TwoTenEast Coworking Space in Upland, CA, emerging as a pioneer in introducing coworking culture to the Inland Empire. Recognizing the need for dedicated spaces for women, she embarked on a personal mission as a survivor of domestic violence, giving birth to She Stories a prorietary platform and profound storytelling and wellness community Through She Stories, over 200 women, men, and children have found a sacred stage to share their transformative stories

As the host of the Dope Confidence Podcast (formerly Hey Suga Podcast), Ehmandah passionately delves into the inspiring stories of individuals who have reinvented themselves and redefined the art of being self-made In each episode, she explores the journeys of those who, against all odds, have crafted their own path with unwavering confidence, refusing to be swayed by the opinions of others

Her impact extends beyond the podcast; she actively engages in philanthropy as the founder of She Stories Inc, a 501c3 non-profit Through this organization, she has collaborated with local entities to provide essential feminine hygiene products for underserved women and girls. Ehmandah also serves on several boards and serves as the VicePresident of the board for House of Ruth Inc., contributing to the strategic direction of an organization dedicated to assisting those affected by domestic violence.

Further demonstrating her dedication to community service, Ehmandah is the Program Coordinator for Serenity House, a women and children's transitional home, where she plays a crucial role in providing support and guidance during their journey from surviving to thriving.

Endowed with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Theology from Seminary, Ehmandah also brings a wealth of certifications, including being a Certified Confidence Coach, Registered Yoga teacher and a Certified Bereavement Facilitator

Beyond her professional journey, Ehmandah's story is one of resilience, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to positive change She continues to inspire and uplift, whether guiding individuals on their entrepreneurial paths, providing spiritual care, or creating safe spaces for storytelling and healing Ehmandah Ramsey stands as a beacon of hope, connecting with others on their unique journeys toward personal and communal greatness

Shawnti Johnson is a dedicated social worker whose journey is marked by resilience, individuality, and a deep appreciation for speculative fiction. Shawnti's story is a testament to her ability to find strength in her uniqueness and inspire change with her creativity

A fascinating fun fact about Shawnti reveals her adventurous spirit in her early 20s, when she served as a wildland firefighter. This experience laid the foundation for her future endeavors, symbolizing her courage in navigating uncharted territories

AUTRINA

MARTINDALE

Autrina Martindale is a native of the Pacific Northwest, a mother, and a securities licensed Registered Representative with Primerica. I teach families wealth and asset management strategies as they build their financial future I enjoy developing programs that create opportunities for people of all ages to understand money and execute strategies to enhance long-term wealth accumulation and financial wellbeing.

I devote my time to my family, my church, my community, and various arts such as writing. I enjoy working with organizations that are making an impact within local community. In 2023, I received my Executive MBA degree from Washington State University. My 5-year goal is to design and create a global brand message that promotes safe spaces, inclusion, and the social and economic wellbeing and empowerment of women and girls across multiple media and virtual platforms.

FRAZIER

Anasé Frazier is a lifelong artist and community advocate from Miami, Florida, residing in the state of Washington. She began her love of the arts as a child, competing in fairs and events in the community. She was a young orator, poet, and artist, amongst other things. She later went on to compete as a NAACP ACTSO Youth member, representing the state of Florida for dramatics at the national level

Throughout her life, she experienced a series of personal setbacks that left her feeling deeply hurt and lost. She turned to art to cope with her pain, and she found that the creative process helped her to process her emotions and find healing

Anasé founded her own business, Nasé Arts Consortium, to pursue her passion for the arts and giving back to her community. She works with her community and church to donate and auction art to raise money for scholarships and supplies for those in need. She is also involved with providing organizations and businesses with commissioned art décor and more She has exhibited at her local city hall with the Art Commission and is a member and exhibiting artist in Washington State's first certified creative district She is currently exhibiting in a downtown district art center, where one of her larger art creations is on display. One of her pieces, which she donated to the creative district out of 25 other pieces from local artists sold in an auction, made up 1/3 of the proceeds that went to youth artist scholarships in the community. In addition to her own personal work, Frazier is also a passionate advocate for the arts. She believes that art has the power to heal and transform lives, and she is committed to using her platform to inspire others to create She is a regular speaker at art events and workshops, and she also offers art therapy sessions to help people who are struggling with trauma or mental health challenges.

ROCKEWELL

In the bustling world of client relations, Darlene Rockwell stands out not just for her professional prowess but for her vibrant spirit and inspiring journey As a client relations associate with a passion for travel and connecting with people, Darlene's story is one of resilience, self-discovery, and the determination to reclaim lost dreams.

Norman Cousins once said, "Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live." For Darlene, this quote resonates deeply, serving as a poignant reminder of her own journey of rediscovery. "I allowed many of my dreams and desires to die, but I am now changing that I am reclaiming my dreams and making them happen," she shares.

Keisha Tucker is a dedicated registered dental assistant whose warmth extends beyond the dental chair. Additionally, Keisha is the proud owner of Heaven Scents, a venture that crafts beautifully handcrafted candles for your home

Keisha is not your average dental professional; she's a true enthusiast with a zest for life. Beyond her clinical expertise, she finds joy in the sweetest moments of life Whether it's baking delightful treats in the kitchen or gracefully gliding on roller skates, Keisha's exuberance is infectious. Her heart swells with love for children, and her hobbies reveal a multifaceted personality that transcends the dental clinic

KIBOIGO

Ashley Nicolette Kiboigo, born on October 27, 1988, in Schweinfurt, Germany, emerged into the world in a rare manner, earning the German nurses ' proclamation of a lifetime blessed with divine favor. Raised in Edmonds and Everett, Washington, her journey unfolded as the daughter of an Army father.

After completing high school, she immersed herself in college courses, but her true passion laid in exploring the world and garnering life lessons firsthand At 21, a pivotal moment arrived when she left home and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, to intern for the Charlotte Bobcats, under the leadership of none other than Michael Jordan himself. This experience reshaped her career and life trajectory.

Returning to Seattle, Ashley contributed two seasons to the Seattle Storm WNBA team. However, she lost interest in ticket sales, leading her to Costco Wholesale in 2013, where fate intertwined and she met her husband. A romantic proposal atop the Space Needle marked a new chapter, followed by a joyous wedding a year later. Now, as a family of four, she cherishes the precious moments and the beautiful life they've built together.

Ashley’s commitments extend beyond the family, playing diverse roles at Faith Tabernacle Fellowship Church, where her father, Aaron Gaines, serves as the pastor Adding to her impactful journey, she recently joined Millennia Ministries, a black-owned, women-led nonprofit in Snohomish County. In her role as Housing Lead, she compassionately contributes to the cause of keeping families housed and preventing homelessness.

Away from work, she finds solace in family time, relishing moments with her beautiful kids, traveling, and connecting with friends A lover of breakfast food any time of day, her heart can be easily won with a bag of peanut M&M’s and good music. In each facet of life, Ashley’s journey unfolds with a rich tapestry of experiences and a commitment to making a Christ-like positive impact on those around her.

WILSON

Embarking on a journey at the crossroads of community service and personal creativity, Maleah Willson, a devoted community member of Millennia Ministries, epitomizes the fusion of compassion and talent. Beyond her contributions to Millennia Ministries, Maleah's love for baking and artistic expression adds a distinctive touch to her multifaceted endeavors

A delightful insight into Maleah's life reveals her enduring passion for baking and various forms of art. More than a creative outlet, this passion infuses joy into every aspect of her life, making Maleah a dynamic force for positive change

ROBERTSON

Serena Robertson, a retired Army professional, shares her journey of self-discovery, inspiration, and a profound love for her identity as a black woman. From her military service to her love for simple pleasures, Serena's story is a celebration of embracing individuality and the richness of being a black woman

Serena's fun fact reveals her penchant for Christmas movies, comedy, and culinary exploration. Her love for trying different foods in new spaces reflects a zest for life that goes beyond the ordinary

Angelia Jordan is a woman who wears many hats. She has been married 37 years. She retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of honorable service and have always had a heart to help others. She is a psychotherapist who diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders, whether cognitive, affective, or behavioral, within the context of marriage and family systems.

She is a member of Skagit County's Critical Incident Stress Management Team as the Mental Health. Psychotherapist, providing psychological and mental health therapy and first aid to Skagit County's First Responders.

She is on the Executive Board of Directors for Family Promise of Skagit County. Helping her county's communities end homelessness for families with children.

She is the Ministry Coordinator, Pastor's Administrator, trainer and an Evangelist for The City Of Refuge Christian Church Washington State.

Her passion and motto is helping others to choose to step out from the tyranny of their past and step into the freedom of their future.
